I fail to understand how a community college can employ and uneducated wrench as an instructor. This sykes fellow is a boob. Watch him during his more pensive moments and his eyes seem to glaze over. Instead of "rate this professor", when it comes to sykes, it should be "rate this dumbo".

I really enjoyed Johns engine performance class. He takes a laid back approach to his lectures, makes you feel very welcome to ask questions, and is just generally a nice guy. I notice many of these poor reviews are from 2004/2005. If he was really that bad back then, he has greatly improved his teaching skills since.

This is a hard course Auto 246 & 248. He wants you to learn and understand the material. The material is not very intresting but John does a good job of making it as interesting as possible. This guy knows his stuff and is more than willing help.
