I was terrified of this math class so my Dean told me to definitely take the class with Professor Johansen. It was awesome. You should do the homework and take good notes but she explains it so well that I actually understood what was happening every step of the way. I learned so much that is applicable to everyday life. Recommend!!

Honestly one of the best math professors I've ever had. She explains the lesson thoroughly and makes sure everyone understands before moving on. Constantly asks if anyone needs help and is willing to explain something again. Go to class and its an easy A. Not many grades (2 exams and an optional final)

Professor Johansen is by far one of the best educators I have ever encountered. I had her for intermediate algebra, and she really has a thorough understanding of the subjects she teaches and conveys them in an enormously efficient way. She is truly an expert in her field, and one of the best instructors I have ever had the pleasure of having.

The best professor at Rutgers!! So sweet and wants you to do good. Study guides are provided before tests and are so similar to the actual test. Her teaching is so clear and uses examples. I loved her and wish i could take her again!!!

Professor Johansen is the best professor I have ever had for my fundamental math 1 and 2. She is great and goes out of her way to explain problems if you do not understand. I have learnt a lot in these courses and she made these classes very interesting for students to grasp any problems. I would recommend this professor to everyone and easy A.

I suck at math. She teaches math so easy a preschooler could solve math equations. Great math teacher. Best math teacher I've ever had. She even taught my high school math teacher and he teaches just like her. Simple and easy! Easy A and great to fill up math credits if you're not a math major.

Still to this day she stops to answer my math questions when I ask. I had no prior interest in math until I had her for Elementary Algebra, and let me tell you, she was the ONLY prof to ever go into depth about how math is applied to every field of study. Her historical knowledge of the field will help you better understand and appreciate math.
