BOOOOORING. Super weird and doesn't explain things super well. He's a nice guy but not very captivating by any means. One day he came to class and told us all about his food poisoning from two nights before. TMI dude.

A wonderful teacher! Used to teach high school, so he makes it a little easier than some professors I've had. Lets you do the HW as many times as you like until you get the perfect score. Sometimes homework doesn't line up with what's on the test, and that's my only complaint. He let us have formula sheets for the last three exams!

LPA - The class is a review of everything that you've learned in the accounting program. There are no tests, just a final. Attendance is graded, because there are no tests. Personally, this is where the people in my class brought their real life questions and he answered them.

Mr. Geer is such an awesome teacher! Accounting is the absolute worst class in the universe (which isn't his fault), but somehow Pat makes it slightly bearable. He is funny, very intelligent, hard working, and fair. The course material is difficult, but if you come to class or put even a minute amount of effort in, you will pass.

I enjoy class with Pat Geer. He teaches tough classes so I never expected them to be easy. Even though he reads off the slides, he seems to do a very good job at explaining things. He's funny and tries really hard to crack jokes with the class. He doesn't want you to completely hate being in his class. I'd suggest him

He's a really good teacher & funny. Yes he reads off the slides but with accounting there isn't much freedom for interpretation. So... you either learn the facts or you don't. & he adds RL examples. Attendance was not mandatory but if you don't show up you will not do well. DO the homework! If you can do the homework you will pass the tests!

A good teacher, and a great asset to Hawkeye's business department. My only problem I had with his class is sometimes the methods he had lectured in class didn't quite sync up completely with the way the homework/textbook would go about it. Still, a very skilled dude.

I'm an Accounting major so I've had Patrick a lot. He's an excellent teacher who knows what he is talking about. Show up to class, do the work and you'll have no problem getting a good grade in his class. He gives a lot of real life examples which is nice.

Income Tax Accounting - Go to class, print off the slides, write notes (especially the IFs - Exp. He can take the credit, UNLESS he's over 65) - a lot of the test is trying to figure out if people filing taxes can take credits, and how much each is. If you don't understand something, ask him. He is quite helpful at explaining stuff in class.

This is the kind of guy you'd grab a beer with; not the kind you'd learn acct. from. I got an A. I figured him out. He's awful at lecturing, reads from slides and moves fast. But, if you find him in his office, he's more patient and very helpful. His office hours got me the A. Lots of work though, so be careful.

worst teacher i've ever had....doesn't know how to teach, not willing to help students, doesn't know what he's talking about most of the time, just reads his power point notes, cracks stupid jokes, very immature, needs to take lessons from mr. hurley because he's an awesome teacher...i would not recommend any of his classes unless you're desperate!
