Comment:

Professor Kunnie does not believe in lecturing so class material is divided among students and is presented each class period. Kunnie is a strong minded man with unique opinions on life today - he does not believe in capitalism and believes we need to reconnect w/ Earth. You can get an A easily, but the class is incredibly weird.

He's the best professor I ever had at the university of Arizona, he actually makes a very great points and I wish I could take his classes over and over again, his class is so easy and its the total opposite from what others are saying. He's a very wise man and I really appreciate him and being in his class was an honor.

Amazing inspirational I recommend everyone take a class with him A true gem I wish more professor would learn from him and release that students are people and put us first You use all the book you by and they are great reads Highly recommend

Comment:

I personally liked Dr. Kunnie. He is a kind man who genuinely cares about the material and his students. However, some of the things he talks about (capitalism and globalization) are one sided arguments and he doesn't do a good job enlightening the class to the counter-arguments. His lectures are eye opening and entertaining in my humble opinion.

I had the class for one day, the prof showed up 10 minutes late and I swear he came to class high. He just talked about random nonsense for an hour. He then told us to sign up for group oral presentations that you would do every class period when there wasn't even any readings on D2L yet. If this isnt for your major, dont take it, i dropped it asap

The overall class isn't hard. All you really have to do is show up and participate every once in a while. However, the professor shoves his ideals in your face and you have to blindly agree to get an A. You can just skim the books and bs your notes and be fine.

First the class is him just a one-sided argument about globalization. Then you need to buy five books two of them he has written. He tries to impose his ideas on you with out getting another perspective. if you're a slow reader I wouldn't take it with reading 2 chapters a week.

I have taken multiple classes by Prof. Julian Kunnie and I can attest that Prof. Kunnie is one of the best teacher/guru you will ever meet in your academic career. If you have a chance you learn and grow with this professor, please spend the time with him, be patient with him, it is a wise choice.

Kunnie is an absolute egomaniac. The most arrogant man I have ever met. Values everyone's opinion as long as it is in line with his own. Disrespectful to students when they do not agree with him. Avoid!

Dr. Kunnie is a great teacher with a great mind. I learned so much in his class and really enjoyed the material. It is definitely not a class you can procrastinate in but if you put in the work, it will be a rewarding experience.

Prof. Kunnie was a wonderful teacher! He is very insightful and engages students if they're willing to learn. He challenges you to think, and you better read and take notes for the five books if you want to do remotely well in the class. Keep an open mind going in, and you'll get so much out.

Dr Kunnie and his class opened me up to a perspective entirely different from Western thought. He's very friendly and knowledgeable. He does talk for a long time and go on tangents but they were always interesting to me. Class atmosphere was authentic, not contrived. I took this class in the summer so he was also more lax about class requirements.

Do not take any of his classes. He just rants about physical exercise and how we should walk everywhere we go. Goes on random rants/tangents (like that). He wanted a big research paper and was vague on the requirements and then made us edit them AFTER the class was officially over! Yes, exercise but no, don't take the class.
