Comment:

Professor O'Connor is seriously the best Biology teacher I have ever had. She is my fourth Bio professor. Her level of explaining things and knowledge is really admirable. She is reportedly retiring in Spring of 2014 so I feel very fortunate to take one of her last semesters. Any help I needed she gave it. I have learned so much in her class.

She is amazing,and knows what shes talking about. Her class is straight forward, if u study and take good notes u should be fine . Attendance is mandatory plus it really helps boost your grade in the end. The people who usually fail are the ones who didnt do their part. I really worked hard for my A.

She is awesome! You will love taking from her. You do need to show up for most class days and *every* lab day if you can to stay on top of the work. Textbook not really used, but is helpful for study. She makes class fun and gives great reviews before tests. Not an "easy A", but a worthwhile one. Take your time with it and you won't regret it.

she is very knowledgeable... the tests are HARD... if you dont study from the support documents she gives out... you will fail.... i still get A in this class, but it took me a lot of hard work to get it.

Teacher knows the topic but I do not advise you taking her if you are a full time worker taking an evening class...it's a hard course and you really do need to attend every class and lab to keep up. If you want a good grade take my advise and also study the material outside of the items she goes over in class.

The professor does know her Bio. but she also teaches it like you know it too. I do not recommend taking her if you are not familiar with the topic already. Her test do not revolve around the notes or pretest, they help, but you also have to do a ton of research yourself.

She is a nice teacher,and helpful. You do have to do homework, labs and quizzes with your table members which those table members will be staying with you all semester so choose wisely. Make sure you read your book and study, study. Its rare if she gives Extra Credit so make sure you are in class, do homework, labs, and study.

She's great! I don't understand what these people are talking about. She is very knowledgable and give pre-test before every test just to help you out and study. If you don't show you will fail, if you show, you pass. Simple as that. And she's very nice, never rude.

She is very Knowledgeable about the course, almost too much so...it is a non-science major class yet she teaches the classes like you already know the material. If you ask a question she makes you feel like it was a stupid one, and is not very willing to work with you if you don't understand. 1/4 of the class passed the first test.

I would caution anyone about taking this professor. She is a high school teacher in disguise. Her tests are ridiculous, she'll treat you like a stupid kid, thinks she knows everything and blatantly teaches the subject from her own biased perspective. She's lectured on things that are just plain wrong (molecules possessing intelligence). She's awful

She is a tyrant. She told us that she knows we were not science majors, we were there just for the credit, and that she'd probably never see us again...so she was going to make us learn something. Talk about revenge of the nerds!!!

i must say it's freaking hard, her test is extremely hard, sometimes she gives us questions that we never learned b4.and more importantly, she is arrogant, she teaches the stuff from her own perspective points, for a non-major bio, you got stay away, i worked hard in her class, still couldn't pass her class. more than 80 percent failed her class.

2As in 120 students on first test: I was one. Her class is not easy, but worth taking. I never missed, studied 15-30hrs per test, took notes, spent hours in her office, & barely made an A. She will help you through the material & understand without being condescending. This class taught me how to push through things in life that do not come easy.

She's a helpful teacher if you are serious and show that you are willing to work. She doesn't take any nonsense from students. Taking lots of notes and asking questions outside of class helped me a lot. You can do well in this class if you put out effort. Read the book before class and take tons of notes.

freakin great teacher!!! super smart but you do have to pay attention and go to class or you will fail...you might fail even if you do both of those because her tests are a little hard...so you HAVE to study but i definitely recommend her to everyone and im definitely taking her again for 1409

She is a nice enough person, but her tests are really tough! Mult choice, lots of matching, plus short answer. Her reviews are nothing like the tests, so really what is the point? She speaks really softly and quickly, but tries to repeat what she says. Take lots of notes!

Comment:

She is very knowledgeable about Biology, but she is extremely hard. Her lectures are rarely confusing, and she is too fast at giving lectures, sometimes I can't keep up with them. Her tests are super hard, 62% of the class failed the first test. She gives daily lab quizzes which are not too hard, and also a pre-test before each test. I dropped out.
