This is a math appreciation course, and not only do I appreciate math now, but I also respect it. We covered lots of math content, from logic, probability and cryptography just to name a few. Dr. Bauer is an awesome professor and adapted wonderfully to online teaching. Take a class with here if you have the chance!

Bauer is literally such a gem. Took this a science option, as someone who is terrible at math I breezed through with an A. No textbook but one big group project but she makes the group fairly and ensures you'll all be compatible. Easy class too attendance not mandatory but is best to go. Bauer is also such a caring prof, really wants you to do well

Dr Bauer taught 275 for the first time with my class and she did an excellent job, ended up being my favourite class to attend. Her lectures are always planned to conclude at a certain point (you leave understanding the material) She extended her office hours around exams. A caring and intelligent prof, wish I could take a class taught by her again

Comment:
This was her first year teaching MATH 275, but omg she was a great professor. To put it in perspective we had Dr. Elsaboutry, the course coordinator, as a guest lecturer, and I found him to overrated and worse than Dr. Bauer. Unlike him, she engages with the class, is very organized, caring and is just like your high school math teacher.

The lectures were usually good, a few times she made mistakes in them but was humble in being corrected about them. She was often clear in her notes and explaining things. It was very easy to get a hold of her after class and during her office hours, and she also seemed happy to help. Would be happy to be in her class again.

One of the best profs I have ever had. She was super responsive to the needs of the students and cared about each student succeeding. She was willing to adjust the topics she focused on in response to the understanding and needs of the class. Would be willing to take any class she was teaching.

Kristine is amazing, she takes a theoretical approach so students can understand where all the rules come from, she does some examples in class although those are too easy compared to the assignments, but tests are easier than assignments so they prepare you well. Practice, go to class, ask questions, go to tutorials and you'll be good!

One of the best math professors. Her lectures are easy to follow along, she makes sure you actually learn during the lecture. Her lectures are paced well. She has a loud, clear, voice. She responds to emails fast, and also has hours outside of class where you can ask for help. She is clearly very knowledgeable, and knows how to teach.

Kristine is an amazing prof. Had to take this course as a pre-rec and despite being terrible at calculus I managed to do okay because of her. Her lectures are engaging and she teaches the course in a really straight forward way. Both her and her husband (Mark Bauer) are amazing profs so make sure you get either of them for 265!

Her lectures are structured well and the course is laid out in a way that makes it easy to get high marks. Good teacher, very friendly and funny. (some of the best math puns you'll ever hear in your life!) I can always ask her questions after class, and I felt I was prepared fairly well for our exams. Very engaging with the class as well. Sometimes its hard to follow her logic, but easy if you take the time to study what you need to.

Lectures are very helpful as she utilizes the chalk boards and spends 95% of the time doing relevant examples for assignments and exams. Online assignments are tough and require a lot of time but she will not hesitate to help you with them. The exams are very tough and require a lot of practise studying. She is very caring and has great TA's.
