Nice teacher and easy A, if thats what your looking for. Cant say shes the best teacher. The art history class is really about how Lisa, sees art. She tells us on several occasions that dont look any of info online and this is her understanding of the art. To retake the midterm you memorized someone elses test and turned it in, Idk I about dat

Although Lisa is unorganized, she is super passionate for what she teaches. She cares about her students and wants the very best for them. Her lectures are interesting, yet can be hard to follow because the material is not always in chronological order. She is very open to meeting after class about anything and always happy to give clarification.

Don't take this class unless you are genuinely interested in the history of art.. It's lectures that have 5-8 questions (basically a small essay each week). There are no rubrics and she is not clear about what she is deducting points for. There are 2-4 lectures each week and they are anywhere from 30-60 minutes each.

Lisa is very nice but very disorganized. She is willing to meet outside of class which is great but she only grades of 4 things. She posts the tests in advance so you know exactly what to study it is just a lot to remember so if you struggle with memorization it may be hard to pass with an A. I recommend Lisa as a art teacher.

Lisa is one of the sweetest ladies, her lectures draw in your attention BUT her class is not organized. There is no textbook or power point she is all over the place on 3 different white boards switching topics constantly, which leads to unorganized notes. Tests are hand written essay with very limited time for what she expects Wouldn't take again

While she is nice, its very hard to follow along in her lectures. Wed have 1 discussion every week and wed have to answer 5-8 questions and listen to 2 hours of lectures to answer them. For one question, shed explain the answer for 15 minutes and Id be confused as to what to write down. Shed also go off topic a lot which increased hw time.

I've had her for both Art Appreciation and 220 History and she is ASTOUNDINGLY good, in my opinion. Coming to class to take notes is highly advised, because she doesn't hold everyone up trying to help one person. That said, she is very understanding and will do everything she can to help you if you state your need. Truly a lovely person. 13/10 prof

Incredible professor. She is so kind and wants all her students to excel. Personally I loved her. Her class is very hard, you won't pass if you don't take notes. There are 3 assignments (for Art Appreciation): midterm, museum project, and final. Exams are basically you writing an essay about lecture. Worth it 100%.

Lisa is the best professor I've ever had. I took her art appreciation class and loved her so much that I took her art history class just for personal enrichment. Yes, this class may be challenging but if you're in it just for the grade for your major then don't take this class because you'll rob someone else of the opportunity to learn vital info.

Staley is a very enthusiastic professor who explains the lectures deeply. I would have enjoyed her class more if she wasn't tardy with grading and slow in putting up online lectures. I think she was busy, but it frustrated me. If you will have a lot of time, take this class, by all means! But if you are going to be busy, don't.

Amazing professor! I have her for Art Appreciation right now and her lectures are info heavy but extremely interesting! She has made me love art so much more and I am so excited to be taking ART 220 next quarter! Beware that the assignments are heavy with writing. Have to take notes to pass.

Lisa is an amazing teacher and you will learn a lot. You are graded on 3 things, 2 of which are tests. YOU MUST TAKE NOTES ON EVERYTHING! Tests are handwritten essays covering several topics, and you need to write as much as you can. Notes will help you study, as she is not on Canvas or anything. TAKE NOTES and ATTEND CLASS and you will do well :)

Lisa is very nice and caring. She's also very passionate about what she teaches, which is nice. If you show up to every class and pay attention you'll do fine. She also does review sessions outside of class. I never needed them, but i've heard that they were quite helpful.

Best teacher I have ever had. I won't lie, I hated art. She made me fall in love with it. She is an extremely smart lady. Never a dull moment in her lectures. Doesn't require a text book because she thinks there is not one worthy of her students. Amazing lady.

Lisa is incredible. As an artist, I loved this class! She is very well informed and is approachable. She keeps in mind that everyone is coming from different educational backgrounds, so she accommodates by clearly explaining and providing examples. Amazing and fun lecture style. Take notes for tests! That is the only way you can possibly pass!
