Vaya - a massive jump between 4 & 5. Look at other teachers for Spanish 5 if you're not a native speaker & have no real experience. Course is taught like advanced lit for native speakers. A LOT of fast overview of readings & dull group activities around reading. Less on learning past subjunctive & more on memorizing her needlessly specific answers.

she is a great Spanish professor, she is very helpful. she gives lots of homework but she doesn't collect it, gives test after every chapter in the book but they're easy. you have homework online and some essays.

This class was awesome! She is very personable, sassy & entertaining. Breaks everything down to a pulp & will repeat or rephrase until you understand. Lots of group work in class. Level of difficulty all depends on just how much Spanish you already know & of course the focus/work you put into learning the material.

I absolutely loved her! There isnt much to turn in since most is done in the workbook. There is online hw which she extends until the night before of each exam. She prepares you for the exams, which are exactly like the class work. I forgot how many exams we took, but there were 2 one pg papers and an oral exam which is done in her office alone.

She is an amazing professor who is willing to explain things multiple times if needed. Her teaching style requires participation, homework is a must, but she is very approachable and cares for her students. If you want to learn Spanish I highly recommend taking her classes.

OMG What can I NOT say about profesora Frances-Benitez? She has inspired me in so many ways that I will carry for the rest of my life. She has believed in me like no other professor has. Her support and patience for the students makes you want to take her over and over again! I was lucky enough to take her for a whole year! TAKE HER! POLLO! LOL

She is an amazing teacher whose accent is very fancy. I loved attending her class. She makes sure you understand all the material. The only problem I had, was that she would let people take to class their children, or boyfriend/girlfriend; I personally found it very disturbing when infants cried, and people started talking to their "guests."

Very effective Spanish teacher, probably the most effective one I have ever had. But she is not easy! If you are serious about learning Spanish, I highly recommend her, but be prepared to work. Not an easy A- I had to work for mine more than in most classes at the community college.

Wonderful teacher! Totally enjoyed the class. Prepare to work, but its effort that results in learning. Don't be intimidated at the beginning if you are having trouble understanding. Hang in there, as it is well worth it and you will be fine. She has you re-write your essays for a better grade, which really lets you learn from your mistakes.

This professor is not an easy grader when it comes to spanish II. Her tests are very long and she includes ALOT of material. You must be to class on time. She has an attitude at times because she doesnt like to repeat herself, and can come off arrogant on occasion. If you arent a spanish speaker i do not reccomend taking her.

Great teacher take her to learn the language and take her even if you already know spanish. As a spanish speaker she taught me to write perfectly correct grammar essays. She helps you understand your mistakes as spanish speakers. Advice do not try to interrupt with smart alec remarks she will put you in your place!

Excellent professor. She is extremely knowledgeable in the material, will answer any questions or doubts regarding the spanish language in a very professional matter. Communication is the key with her, I am in the military and missed quite a bit of classes and she was flexible with my schedule. I highly recommended her you will learn spanish.

So horrible! You wont understand anything unless you have some previous spanish experience. Do not take her unless your willing to study 2 hours a night!
