As an honors student I am not accustomed to doing poorly in a class. With consistent participation in class and many redrafted papers I still received a C+. Professor is insistent on pushing his opinions and disregarding those of his students.

who knew i'd like agriculture. awesome class. highly underrated prof because he is hard but it is because he is forcing you to think and reason critically. seriously made me want to learn. glad he still sticks around to teach.

A very hard grader but he really made me focus on my writing and become a better logical/critical thinker. My writing improved a lot in this class and I wound up finding a new interest in agriculture! You just have to make sure your work is logical and complete..he'll catch your bs.

Im a 3.9 GPA student so dont take this critique as being from a lazy student looking to get an easy A. This man is arrogent beyond words & an AWFUL grader. Whether it be abstractly or not, he doens't tell you his guidelines and scoffs at any opinion you try to voice as a student. Is very offended if you don't like agriculture as much as he doesn. D

Critical thinking and scholarship embodied. Not only that--he can ACUALLY teach. So rare to find a professor with both the knowledge and the pedagogy. An SCSU legend and a treasure--take him if you truly want to learn.

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. He is offensive and very boring. He will never accept what you have to say. You do not write a lot in his class and when you do it's only 2 pages because he feels as though it's harder to only write two pages, and he's correct because the things he makes you write you can only come up with a couple sentences. DO NOT TAKE HIM! I love(d) English until I took his class. All my eng courses I recieve A's in and loved. This man is a joke, he makes you read the bible and wants your point of view on what it means and tells you r wrong. he's a very difficult prof. Prof. Heidmann is the worst teacher i have ever had in my college career. I am an English major and have enjoyed all of my other teachers. He is offensive in everything he says. He puts down his students, saying he does not believe everyone should be in college. Hi is a ride and miserable man.

Such an amazing teacher! In the beginning, he seems standoffish, even arrogant. Once you get to know him, though, he is one of the most endearing, helpful professors you will ever have, with an amazing sense of humor to boot. He is a wealth of knowledge, and if you don't mind hard work, his class is incredible.
