He's a nice guy who wants you to do well. Reading the long and boring papers is important because it helps you understand his lectures. Write down everything that he says. The pop quizzes and the exams (he lets you take the MT and the Final twice and takes the higher grade) are all open notes and basically his questions can be answered from those

I really enjoyed his class. Taking Economics of Sports, I could tell it was something he cared about, and I found the class very interesting, as well. By no means was this an easy class but I enjoyed the material and figured out how to regurgitate what he was looking for on the exams and earned the A. Lets you retake exams too and open notes too.

His lectures are incredibly dry and he repeats the same bad jokes. When interested students ask questions he just tells them why they're wrong without listening to the question. Several times no one got 100% on the pop quizzes. Makes you print over 1000 pages by end of semester and can't use laptop in class. Grades inconsistently but open notes

Professor Killingsworth is the best professor I've had at Rutgers. He is extremely knowledgeable about his subject, and his lectures are outstanding. Although the class might not be an easy A , I suggest taking this professor if you actually want to learn something about economics and regression analysis between Women, and Men in the economy.

Professor Killingsworth is a pretty great guy. He cracks jokes a lot during lecture to make a semi-dry subject more interesting (though I find that the class is interesting most of the time). He gives 4 pop quizzes but drops the lowest 2. Exams are open notes, so there's really no reason to do absolutely poorly.

Do not take this professor for any class. Classes were incredibly boring. Gives tests that are all essays with no actual grading criteria. Notes were a complete mess and barely contained the information needed to use on the exams. So many people failed the mid-term and the fact that he provided no curve shows that he doesn't care about students

Horrible professor. 36/60 students failed the midterm and final and there was no curve. Gives essay tests that are graded ambiguously and unclear, basically grades them however he likes. Gives unclear notes. Monotone voice that will put you to sleep after 5 minutes. Thinks he's a genius. Fails students on purpose that need these classes to graduate

Worst Professor I have ever had at Rutgers. Over half the class failed the mid term and the final, and it seems as if he gets enjoyment out of it. Tests are all essays and grading criteria is very subjective, and unclear. Powerpoints have stats that are just not true (I found 3 at least). Thinks hes the smartest person ever.

For anyone who thinks this class is going to be "easy", please rethink this. Killingsworth exam structure has caused more than 50% of the class to fail midterms. His attitude towards failing students shows that he does not care. The class lectures were boring and he barely provided sufficient information towards the exams.

Do not take economics of sports with him. It is a terrible course with very boring lectures. Also, the grading in this class is completely broken, open note exams but they are essay exams that are graded brutally.

Do not take this professor for Sports Econ. He gives 4 pop quizzes (only 2 count) that you have to be in class for. Lectures are boring because he is monotone and his notes are not good. Exams are open notes but the way he grades is horrendous. More than 50% of the class failed the midterm with no curve because his exams are impossible to pass.

Hes not the best but hes not the worst. Its very hard to stay focused in class and pay attention because he doesnt present the material in an interesting way. The exams were tough. I do think the final was ALOT easier than the midterm. I was failing the class until almost the very end of the semester. Quizzes are hard too. He drops the lowest two.

The class was alright, just go to office hours and ask as many questions as you can. He had a small curve where 65 was a C, and all other grades were curved too slightly except A was 90+. The quizzes were damn hard, but the exams were not too bad, final exam was easier than midterm imo. Take him, but his class is a little hard. Nice guy though!

Professor Killingsworth is extremely accomplished as an academic, but not a good instructor. He is boring and makes everything way too difficult. Only take his class if you are really interested in Labor Economics. Do not take it just to take an upper level elective. There are other courses.

took both econ 364 & 375. neither are easy As, but i got As in both so it's very possible. his syllabus clearly explains his grading scheme. go to class if you want to do well. (i made the mistake of skipping sometimes. don't do that). go to office hours and look at his review questions. he provides you with the resources to do well if YOU want to

One of the most knowledgable professors in the economics department. Explains things very clearly. If you attend class and pay attention you will be able to pass exams with flying colors. He is against memorization and pushes you toward comprehension of concepts, i.e. pushing you to retain the information.

He deserves an award for his grading scheme. Others have already gone over the logistics, but practically, it forces you to learn and be comfortable with everything while giving a huge margin for error. One of the more "useful" econ courses-- a lot of spillover. He's clear and succinct, fair and predictable. If you go to class, you'll do well.

Comes off as boring but his labor class was one of the more practical classes I've taken and I learned a lot from his lectures. 4 pop quizzes but he hints in advance when he's going to give one. The midterm and final are open notes. Plus, If you do bad you can take a makeup. Don't buy the textbook. Overall, he's a great professor though.

Not easy, not hard. His exams are difficult, and so he gives a make up for his midterm and final each, and takes the highest score. They are all open ended and graded kind of ambiguously. I got an A this semester but got a B+ with him in a diff course last year. Lectures are boring and hard to pay attention to, but you have to in order to do well.
