Comment:
One of the best professors I had at DePaul. Apparently this was the first time he taught Machine Learning and maybe the material was a little above the head of most of the students. His teaching method consists of coding in class and solve real life problems. He is always available to help and he often stayed after class until 10pm.

Professor DiPierro is knowledgeable of the subject, however, the class is a disorganized mess. The class is him talking to himself coding. He's difficult to follow because he's constantly editing his code on the fly & has nothing prepared prior to class. No slides or structure & vague assignments and final project. Very disappointed in this class.

He's a smart guy, but this class was a joke. Primarily because 40% of your grade is based on online quizzes where the students make the questions - resulted in students just copying probability questions from GMAT tests online, and I learned next to nothing in the course. Lectures are him just writing code in front of you.

Massimo is a really smart professor and a really good guy. The problem however, is this class was absolute chaos. You might as well throw the syllabus out the window day 1, because none of it meant anything. Every lecture just felt disorganized and had very little to do with the assignments. Office hours are a must to pass.

Physics for Game Developers. It's not super clear what the point of the class is or what my take aways are, but it was a good physics class. He's very smart, but not good at helping us understand. There's a lot missing from the apply your learning step. Take if you know physics or can teach yourself. Assignments are pretty easy, no tests.

Excellent teacher. If it weren't for the poor documentation, he would be teaching an excellent web framework. Doesn't always reply to emails but he answers lingering questions in the web2py google group. Start early on your project, be creative, be sure to work in a group, and you've got yourself an A. Also... the book is online for free.

Very helpful. His teaching technique involves spending much of the class time writing small example programs, explaining what he's doing along the way, while the class watches on the data projector. Also, very willing to spend time with you in his office to explain things. Homework was reasonable and graded in a timely manner. Take him.

Failed the class before, retook it with DiPierro and I got a B. His notes and supplemental material are always excellent. I took him for C++ and his notes were better than any book I have used. He actually made a program that makes a visual representation of algorithms(algorithms animator).
