MAC is so knowledgeable and passionate about Ecology! She's a little rough as a teacher, though. She cares and wants everyone to do well, but she has very high expectations and her lectures can get boring. Repeats herself a lot. I liked her a lot better in GLY310.

The class is a lot of work for 2 credits. Expect to spend 2-3 hours a week on lab reports. The lab reports are easy, though... and the labs are fun! Make sure you are well-versed in Excel. The quizzes are also easy but you must go to recitation to take them. She is a really great woman and her TAs are equally amazing!

Coffroth is great. She's very available for help outside of lab. I think the TA makes or breaks the course for you though...I was lucky having good ones. She has a passion for what she teaches and that's obvious. Very fair grader.

Very good class to take if you are into ecology. You get to go outside a few days and there is no tedious measuring or weighing like in most lab courses. Long lab write ups, but it's deffinetly better then other lab courses. Go to class every week, write the labs on time, go to TA office hours and put in effort, you will get an A for sure!

Overall, the labs are fun and pretty interesting and the write ups require a lot of time and energy (but the T.A.'s are very helpful and knowledgeable!). Dr. Coffroth may come off as intimidating, but in all reality is actually very helpful and kind. Worth taking if you have the time to dedicate to it.

Don't take ecology lab... wayy too much work for a 2 credit course. Labs themselves are easy but a 15 page write up every week-- yuck
