I can tell he's a very caring person who's very knowledgeable on the subject, but he's not a very good prof. The only reason I got an A is because my boyfriend taught me everything and Heagy curved our final grade and our final exam (by a lot). His lectures were very confusing and asking questions doesn't help. Recitation sucks but is beneficial.

He's a really approachable prof and really nice. Unfortunately his exams can be a little unfair. Missing only two multiple choice questions already puts you at an A- for the midterm. A little harsh. Seems unprepared sometimes. Sometimes doesn't know how to explain certain questions from the book that you'd expect him to know.

Great guy and one the nicest professors at Tech. His lecturing ability is ok, I've had a lot better and a lot worse. He's always been willing to answer questions and give help outside of class. His tests will sometimes throw you a curveball, but overall they're not too bad. He can be a bit disorganized at times but knows a lot about chemistry.

his tests are killer, and he doesn't really give homework, so keeping up on material is on you. He is a really nice guy out of class (not so shy or rushed), and definitely knows his stuff, don't be afraid to ask questions if things are unclear. He also looks a little like Napolean Dynamite, and kinda acts the same way.

Dr. Heagy is not a very good instructor in this class. I learned more from reading the book than by falling asleep in lectures because he was just reading from the book. I took this class at another university and learned A LOT more about Org Chem from another professor.
