Decent teacher, but unresonable expectations for tests. Requires memorization of all formulas which is impossible to do. Did not seem to have a great interest in whether we learned. Was not flexible when help was needed. Very bitter man. Curves the class in the end, so I did ok, but failed 3 out of the 4 tests and still got a B.

He's a good guy. He doesn't expect much more than respect and a decent effort from the students. Read the CHs and put in the time, you'll be fine. If you don't study, you'll fail....horribly. He has a sense of humor and is extremely smart. Gives you his home phone number. Most importantly, I can't stress it enough, you must be willing to work!

the material was kind of tough, but he was always there to explain it to you as much as you needed. there is a quiz like every class period-so pay attention the points add up. not very good at explainging things in class so make sure to ask questions.

He really is a nice guy and will help you if you ask. Those people who claim this class is so tough probably shoudn't be business majors in the first place cause it's really not that difficult as long as you read the chapters and keep up on the homework, give the guy a break.

The professor came off as a bit of a jerk the first couple days of class, but he really is a funny guy and a great teacher. He explains everything well and encourages students to email or call him for homework help. The quizzes and tests are easy as long as you read the book and do the homework. Lots of homework, but it's good practice.

Terrible professor, the good comments on here had to be written by the professor himself b/c no one would say those things. I think fina is a good class and would be easy if we were not given a million problems and wont let you use a notecard like most prof, there is no way you can read, study, do all the problems, and actually learn it

Be prepared to learn a lot in this class and if finance is not your major, take it with someone a little less critical. You will have quizzes for every chapter, and the questions for the test come right from class examples. Keep up with the homework, read the chapters, and don't skip class. If you are not a finance major, take it with someone else, but if you are I suggest you take it with him. You will learn it, and he will be very helpful if you ask. All he is doing is prepping the Finance students so the upper level classes won't be so tough. It just takes a lot of effort.

Watch out for his exams. They are absolutely, without a doubt, the hardest exams I have ever taken. Needlessly to say, when our class average exam three score was 58%, he seemed not to even be phased by it.
