Dr. Massé is phenomenal!! Not only is she a fantastic professor, but she is also super helpful in navigating the graduate school application/admissions process. This is the second class I've taken with her, and I would take more if I could!!

Do not listen to the negative reviews on this site --- Dr. Masse is an excellent instructor! Super helpful with papers. The class is reading-intensive, and there are reading journals that are due every class period. Class format is discussion based. Overall, I enjoyed the course, and I am taking her capstone seminar in the spring! Take her class!

Avoid at all costs. The reading material is traumatic. I still have nightmares about all the graphic child assault cases she forced us to read. I'm not kidding, I felt like I needed therapy after, and the worst part is, we weren't even warned. I agree with the posters who said she hates men and women who disagree with her.

Brilliant & perceptive, plus she actually cares what students think. She leads discussions in a way that allows us to find meaning in the books for ourselves (no spoon-feeding). Copious journaling is required, but she comments meaningfully on all of it. She's a tough grader essay-wise, but this IS a 3000-level class, so that shouldn't be a problem!
