This is an into class, however, no one told this to the instructor. He expects you to to write full sentences, spell correctly and annotate accents after just two weeks of class. If you never took Spanish before, or you do not already know a decent amount of Spanish, don't take the class, you wont pass.

This class is absolute waste of time. This teacher teaches way too fast and does not care at all about the students. He expects you to self teach and only there to collect a paycheck. Don't waste your time. He talks down to you and grades unfairly. He is also very arrogant and talks a lot about himself instead of teaching.

In the begining I was intimidated by the class, but he saw that I was really trying to learn the material and was coming to class prepared so if I was struggeling with something he was very helpful. He took time to make sure we were learnig the material, as long as you study and use flash cards you should be fine.

Hes a nice guy, but by the end of the semester I barely knew Spanish. Syllabus is confusing, assignments are unclear and vague. Really disliked the textbook and MySpanishLab. Overall, this class was a waste of time. You're better off learning Spanish on your own through Rosetta Stone. Don't pay for this course.

Engages the class and keeps things interesting with his sense of humor and his knowledge of Spanish culture. Gives tips on learning the grammatical concepts. Overall a really nice guy. Helped me a lot when I broke my arm and was out for surgery.

He is an awful professor. He doesn't help you. If you ask a question in class, he will either make fun of you or wonder why you don't understand it. He believes everyone just has a natural talent for Spanish. He doesn't get that a lot of people have trouble. I would never recommend him! He embaresses as a student!!!

He is by far the WORST college professor I ever had. He is inappropriate and can be very rude to students and is not very helpful. He treats students like we are children. I encourage everyone to avoid him. I am surprised he is still able to teach.

Very difficult. Temperamental and easily loses his temper. Has his favorites, and expects material to be mastered before it's presented. Very hot-headed and disorganized.

First day it was easy, basic hello and goodbye, thought it would be a breeze, but after the first exam, he starts speaking in Spanish almost all the time. He might know 5 different languages and it might be easy for him, but most of us in the class were lost 75% of the time.

this guy is wack. Someone shld remind him that this is Connecticut and English is our first language in most cases. i was excited before going into the class, but he ruined it for me. He is quite arrogant as common to most Euros when they get to America. he grades hard and does not care if you having issues with the class.

Prof is very difficult to follow. Prof gets upset when you ask questions and is quite arrogant, almost portrays the image as though you should have known better than to ask the question. He is a nice guy in general, however he can be very rude to students. Professor doesnt answer questions clearly and information is extremely difficult 4beginnrs

Going into this class I was excited to learn Spanish but had no background. I found the Mosaic text not very organized but he expects students to know chapters inside and out. Very difficult, strict on attendence, participation, pronouciation and grammer. I agree w/prev. submitter-Avoid at all costs! Take with Barbara Dennis if possible.

Not a horrible teacher, but goes kind of fast and expects everyone to know it already. Luckily I remembered a little bit from HS or I would have been struggling. He is a little arrogant and has very little patience for people. All homework is done online and I would suggest doing the homework before class in order to do the class activities.

Took him for both Spanish 1 and 2. At first I could not stand him and I thought he was arrogant, but once you get to know him, the tests are fairly easy and there is a nice website that you can go on and test yourself before the exams. He is silly and his hair is motherlessly curly.

he expects you to know alot all at once, but overall, he's a good teacher and funny too. Tests are very easy as long as you study. I recommend him to people who can catch on easily to Spanish, you'll do great in the class.
