Comment:
Pr WardWallace was an exciting and clear lecturer on American Foreign Relations. However, she permitted no questions or discussion in class or out, ever, unless you had been on her Baylor in Europe trip. Questioning the historical validity of anything from her lectures in an essay test would get you a D, no matter how much more valid your sources.

The entire class grade is based on four essays. The essays are ridiculously easy because the most important factor is format first. The format is listed clearly in the syllabus and you get a practice essay. There is no reason not to get an easy A even in her advanced classes. I have taken her twice and recieved easy A's.

She is not a hard teacher as long as you go to class and do the essays according to her guidelines and turn all of them in ontime. We had 4 essays based on outside reading books, one of them is the final, assigned on the last day of class and turned in on the day of the final. She only allowed 4 absences even though the university would allow more.

She really knows her stuff. If you'd rather write essays than take tests, this is the class for you - because grades are based on ONLY essays. Start early on your essays so that you can ask questions as you go instead of doing it all the night before, for real.1 big extra credit oppurtunity - very nice. Be sure to take notes. She is reeeeally great

One of the strangest classes I have taken. Grades are entirely based on papers, graded by the TA. Very little work required, but you never know what grade you will end up with. Get to know the TA and his/her writing style.

Fabulous/Brilliant woman. History of the American Woman is fascinating. Dr. Wallace is super cool. I hope to look as good as she does when I'm her age!

Nice Lady, lots of easy essays. Just pay attention in class and take good notes- that's the final. She's not too demanding, but you'll know history when you leave her class. I liked it!

grade is based solely on four essays from books outside of class. essays aren't too bad if you follow directions closely. she lectures each day, but she's a great speaker.
