Took this class online and it was one of the easiest As I've ever received. Lectures are in mp3 format and he provided great outlines. Class included open book problem sets and tests. 4 problem sets each with 9 questions and 4 tests each with 30 questions. Test material isn't terrible, and is manageable. He curves tests well! Caring professor.

Stats is HARD. Took online. Very lecture heavy but not much else work. Listen to lectures, do problem sets which are just open book assignments, then a test. The test are pretty hard and not much time to look up answers in book or notes, BUT he curves like crazy. Not sure if my class just didn't do well, but he curved almost every test. He cares.

He provides you with all the materials you need to succeed! His lectures are in mp3 format, which is great. I've had online professors only give outlines. The sound quality is great, if you're having issues use your phone instead of computer. Outlines are super helpful! Got an A. Def take him! He makes the material interesting!

He has lectures recorded but it's lectures from a previous in class lecture so it is easy to get confused about what he is talking about. Recordings are also somewhat hard to hear and when I asked about it he said that it was my computer. it wasn't. The material is very heavy. 4 exams and 4 homework modules.

He is amazing!! This is the most difficult class I have taken and he works with you outside of class if you ask for it. He grades very fairly, I almost passed with a B but since it was my last semester before graduating and I was burnt out, I did well on the rest of the class that the very last exam I just kind of winged it.

Took stats online. Only four assignments and four exams so not a lot of room to make mistakes. However, he curves like crazy. Seems to really care about teaching. Not a bad class at all

Prof. Carini is a very caring person and will go out of his way to help if you ask. Gives great feedback on exams and curves very well. His lectures (I took the class online) are actually easy to listen to and he is able to make them lighthearted.

I was very hesitant to take stats so I decided to take it online since I failed College Algebra the first time (I'm terrible in math) but this class was VERY EASY and he was very caring! He gives extra credit along with free points on the tests. I would recommend taking the online class- HE IS GREAT! Wish I could take him again.

He seems like a nice guy, but I felt that he did nothing to teach this class. His lectures are literally him reading the text book with no extra explanation or indication of how he would like questions solved. His tests are a month apart; I didn't even have a chance to see how his tests would be before the window to drop with a refund had passed.

The book is AMAZING. It is easy to read and has a lot of great examples. I attended maybe the first week of class and only used the book. Professor Carini is very understanding of situations. I would definitely take him again.

Professor Carini, in my opinion was a great professor. He had a very sweet spirit and was genuinely interested in helping his students succeed. His tests are fairly easy, as long as you study his notes, go to class and glance over the materials he assigns. He was great and I would totally take one of his classes again.

Carini is a very good professor. Changed my thoughts that I had about stats after having a terrible professor previously. 4 test were curved & gives credit for even attempting to answer; he also gives solutions to missed answers so you are able to go back & try again. Make sure 2 follow along with readings & powerpoints & testproblem would be easy

I took this class online. Dr. Carini seemed very nice. He promptly answered emails and I especially appreciated him curving the test grades. 4 tests, 4 problem sets. Follow along with his powerpoints in lecture, but he does use the book, too. This class is boring and hard, but required for SOC majors, so I would take him, esp for test curving!

The professor is great- he is enthusiastic about his classes and is a great guy. But, the class is still challenging if stats isn't your thing. The class can come off as dull and boring- but that's just how stats is. 4 open book "problem-sets"; 4 in class-online exams. He curves the tests which also helps.

He is a very nice professor. He wants his students to do well and is very professional. However, if stats isn't something that comes easy to you (like myself), the class will be hard. It is worse since the only grades for the class are 4 exams (100 pts each) and 4 graded problem sets (25 pts each). He doesn't take attendance or participation.

Very passionate about his classes. Very professional and nice. Answers questions. Usually grades within acceptable time frame. Gives lots of feedback. Very positive person and will allow you to learn a lot. Not super easy though. Challenges students and makes you really work.

Statistics isn't very interesting or easy. I took this course to learn more about socials statistics and how I can use them in my graduate thesis work. The class was rather "easy" to follow if you read the handouts and listened to the lectures. Great professors and worked hard helping me get access to recorded lectures.

WONDERFUL! He is very helpful and informative on the topics he covers. I wish I could have taken him more than once. He discusses the readings and the tests aren't bad if you attend class and do the readings.
