He is pretty clear about what he grades on. He has 6 exams all 40 questions multiple choice. You get a study guide about whats on the exam, and he makes sure to cover everything that will be on the exam. The only reason why I didnt like the class was because if you miss 4 questions on the exam you get a B. Overall decent choice for psych 101

He wouldn't test us on anything he didn't teach us and he was logical in his teaching style.

Leigland's class is fine but it's super boring and I feel like I've gotten nothing out of it. His lectures are hard to follow and he's a very disorganized lecturer. Sometimes he forgets to teach things and still puts it on the test. He gives you study questions that basically outline the entire test so it's easy, just super boring.

The lectures are really boring and he goes over the same material over and over again. He gives you study questions for each test and as long as you are able to answer them you will do well on the tests. You are only graded on tests and participating in studies so you don't necessarily need to go to class if you can get the notes from someone.

Most boring lectures I've sat through. He yells randomly in class and if you talk he will shhh you. I found him very narcissistic, rude and doesn't seen to care for his students. He gives outlines for each test and if you understand the material his tests are easy, BUT lectures are so random and boring its hard to get anything out of his class.

Overall he is a good teacher but his lectures are boring. I would sit in the front of the room so you can focus and not pass out, beware he tell bad stories and randomly yells. He does not always take attendance i skipped occasionally and it wasn't a problem. Your grade is only tests and the final, but he gives study guides so do the readings.

This class was super interesting but sometimes hard, but Dr. Leigland made it very easy! Make sure to listen during his lectures and take good notes (lectures are kind of dry). Go to office hours and he will give you a ton of participation points just for showing up to ask him a question. Looking forward to taking more classes from him!

He is a super nice guy. The lectures can be boring sometimes but they are very informative. His tests are the same every time, 40 mc and the study questions outline the test exactly.

Dr. Leigland is great! Expect to pay very close attention in class, because the material can be confusing at times, but Dr. Leigland regularly gives examples of all of the material you are learning. But if you still don't get it, don't hesitate to ask him! Also, he will begin shouting mid-sentence to wake up the class, so be aware!

Professor Leigland is a good teacher. His lectures are very clear and it's exactly what's on the test. Every test is 40 multiple choice questions and the final is 75 multiple choice. Study guides are exactly like the tests, so if you do those and study hard then you'll get an A easily. Take him if you don't understand psychology well.

Definitely would not recommend. Everything he writes on the board is in diagrams and acronyms, so taking notes was very difficult. He never really defines any terms, but then asks you to define them on the test. Very unhelpfuleven rude on review days or when I visited his office hours.

Very funny guy with an eccentric but likable personality! Lectures are clear and organized. You're tested on lecture material. Five tests and a final. He gives you study guides before every test and as long as you the answer the questions on them, you will get a good grade on the test. No homework assigned. I never even read the book.

Lectures are some what boring but they lay out pretty much everything you need to know for the exams. There are 6 total exams, with the last one being the final. He gives out study guides with everything you need to know for the tests. As long as you do those, getting an A on the tests should be pretty easy. Definitely recommend this class!

Hilarious. He's kind of cooky but it's an entertaining class. The only credit in the class is participating in studies and a couple of tests. Take good notes and do the reading before the test and you'll be totally fine. He lets you call him with questions.. he even called me back at 9 pm the night before the test.. but have good notes

He is a really nice guy but he is very disorganized and is so boring. He only grades tests, so do the study guides he hands out and you should be fine. He repeats himself a lot and takes forever to get through one small subject. I honestly dreaded going to his class at 9am.

This is an easy class as long as you really study the study guides, which are very straightforward. He tells a lot of stories in class, which can be pretty interesting but often very off topic. If you've taken Psych in high school you'll probably be bored out of your mind for the most part, though (at least at 8am).

Sam is a friendly guy but is not the best at clarity of the material, he is also disorganized. Don't expect to be able to succeed by yourself in his upper division courses. You will need to see him in his office hours in order to succeed on his exams, and take good notes. He is definitely willing to help you, but you need to put the effort into it.

This class is SO easy as long as you answer all the questions on the study questions he gives for each exam. His lectures are pretty boring but the concepts are easy to understand and he is available to help if you need it. Sometimes he sends around a sign in sheet but never takes attendance

Great proffessor... if you call him for help, he will explain everything you are confused about. And if you study his study guides, you shouldn't worry about doing well on the tests.
