Professor Watts was a great person! I loved the IT/IS news part of the classes and lectures were interesting. You NEED TO PARTICIPATE, like its a must. She is also super accessible outside of the class. The tests are extremely hard, but there is a large curve!

If you go to class and participate regularly, you will end with a solid grade. Watts is a clear lecturer and makes the content interesting and engaging. Tests are tricky but there is a large curve at the end of the class. The grading structure is clear and fair. I learned a lot in this class and I'm glad I had Watts as my professor.

If you just show that you care about this class, you'll do well. Participation is the key to success in this class, so talk at any chance you get. Doesn't matter if you're wrong. The tests in this class are really hard, even with the book. But the class does get curved at the end. I learned so much relevant and useful material in this class.

Watts was a good professor, she does move through material kind of quickly sometimes, but usually she explains everything throughly. She is a harsh grader, especially with presentations and written assignments, however, if you go for extra help or to review material shell help you out.

Strong woman. Not exactly warm but she cares about her students. If you give her respect she will give you respect. Appreciates effort.

Ignore the earlier reviews. The class has changed since then. Watts is great. Just show up to class and listen to her and you will be prepared for the exams. The readings are mundane, so I would recommend going to class. The grade is spread pretty far between tests and assignments, so as long as you do what you are obligated to, you will be fine.

Professor Watts is absolutely amazing. She is always very helpful and is really good at explaining complex concepts into simple terms. If you want to get a good grade, make sure you do all the readings, come to class, and participate. That's it. :)

Professor Watts is one of the best professors in BU. She really cares about students and makes efforts to remember every student's name. You would do very well in her class as long as you skimed through the readings and paid attention to the review sessions. I am not an IS person, but I really enjoy her class!

Wasn't too interested in IS before, and ended up working on the IS team during core. Does a good job of keeping the discussion topics modern and interesting. Very helpful and supportive professor. Go to the review sessions before the exam!!! I was so well prepared for the exams thanks to her.

Overall, a good professor. I think the discussions before official class work started we're interesting. Some may find them dull if they're not interested in tech, but that's where one learns about how the IS things get used in the real world. Study the slides, skim the book and you can do well. I learned a good amount and gained interest in IS.

She's a nice person. However, the most ambiguous class in SMG. In the other word, boring class, barely stay on focus. Participation stimulating method apparently didn't work.....TO receive a good grade, read book in the last week, pay attention on review section, and haha most thing she taught...irrelevant, because the exam is very ambiguous.

Watts is straight-up crazy. I went to her for help with assignments, she was as clueless as me and had to ask another IS prof to explain it to me. She doesn't teach anything and then gets upset when the project has a very small IS component. Positives: she tells you exactly what to expect for the exam, lets you out early every class, easy grader.

It seems like most students either love her or hate her due to her teaching style. For me, I loved her witty and sarcastic comments that made the dry material bearable. She does have a tendency to push thru the material without thoroughly explaining all the concepts, but she makes it up by providing an awesome test review.

helpful for presentation feedback...class organization is poor, but that's more of the IS coordinator's fault
