do not take if you are planning to get a c in trig. He crammed all of the material in the last lecture since he ranted about the history of the different polar curves.

endearing fellow who frankly is getting rather long in the tooth for the teaching profession. Lectures often times consisted of him just solving problems from the book, sometimes incorrectly. Relies heavily on handouts. Tests were done in class rather than testing center so essentially timed tests. Lots of empty seats at the end of the semester.

If you want a C in trigonometry take his class. I did every single homework assignment, spent hours and hours studying and still got a C in the class. At the end of the semester there were only 4 people enrolled in the class. That should be a sign

Good hearted man, but would not recommend the class unless you have time to teach yourself all of the concepts through the book or outside sources. His lectures are confusing and he usually goes off on tangents. I am usually proficient in math, but due to his antiquated teach style, I had to drop the course.

Homework is turned in for a grade in a notebook. Coming to class is a complete waste of time. He crams last minute, gets very off track, often does problems wrong and then tells you the next class that he messed up (if he realizes it). Tests are timed. He says "if you dont know it well enough to do it in time then you dont know the information".

Rodi is good, but he gets sidetracked pretty often. At times he can also be very monotone but he knows his stuff. Make sure to ask questions and go to his office hours if needed and you'll do fine!

This is a self taught class. If you're good at learning via book, you'll be fine. He doesnt teach you. His lectures are painful to sit through, they're all over the place & half of the time he doesnt know what problem hes on. The other half he's quoting poetry. No test reviews of any kind, he doesn't believe in them.

Dr. Rodi is such a nice man, always available in his office to offer extra help & guidance. Never makes you feel rushed during office hours; will help you for as long as you need. Good at giving advice for how to pursue your major and/or career. Class is a lot of work--you'll have to do homework and come to class if you want to do well. Great prof!

Professor Rodi is a super nice professor I made a 104, 103 and a 107 today. He is hilarious but the bad thing about this class is that he gets sidetracked pretty often. You must show up to class to pass this class buuuut if you work hard and argue and have a high B you are definitely going to be bumped up to an A. If you get bumped everyone else do

I took Prof. Rodi for Trig, and I will never forget that "cosines cozy up." He teaches math in a way that people who aren't good at math (e.g. me) can understand. Be prepared for lengthy homework assignments, and read your textbook if you're not naturally a math person. I believe he is a very fair grader and his lectures were always entertaining.

His passion for math is his flaw. He gets overly excited, and once that happens you can forget about even trying to copy down or comprehend his teaching due to the accelerated speed he's going. He'll cram 1 whole section the last 5 minutes of class and expects you to know the whole section. Not recommended. I'm an A student and he was difficult.

Prof. Rodi is quite the character. His lectures tend to be on fast side, but he'll expand on a topic if you let him know you're not getting it. Make sure you get ahead on the homework a section or two before each class. Also, it helps if you can scribble down a copy of what he does on the board to help the book make a little bit more sense.

Prof. Rodi is a great and hilarious teacher! Enjoyed his class a lot. A lot of students dropped along the course though, I believe they didn't take the course seriously; most of them just stopped appearing for classes early on during the semester, and tended to fall asleep during class regularly. Make sure you do all the homework!!!

I had to take algebra 3 times before I made a C, but Dr. Rodi showed me that I could actually do math. The Catholic school humor in his lectures went over well with me. His tests weren't easy, but if you memorize the unit circle and a few formulas you'll do fine. I went on to finish Calc II because of him.

This man is on his way out. He needs to retire. Not helpful at all. Speeds through lessons, gets distracted easily. Worst math teacher I have ever had.

DONT take his summer class. He gets off topic way too much and isn't clear and rushes. I have had to go to tutoring daily to keep up. He gives multiple homeworks and expects us to turn them in the next day and the tests are HARD. I wouldn't reccomend this teacher.

Rodi: classically trained in Philos. and Math. From NOLA. Hard working. Intense. Math is tough for me, but several in the class made easy As and Bs. This class helped w/ my poor hmwk habits by stressing the Hmwk Journal. I enjoyed the intensity. He often referred to future lessons we will face in upper-level math courses. I wish he taught more.

Mr. Rodi is a great professor who really cares about his students. I took both Business Calculus 1&2 with him. The class is hard, and you have to study. No quizzes, just tests and HW. He is always available and willing to answer questions.

Professor Rodi is a good teacher. He explains things clearly and makes sure to explain things the way they are in the book. Tests are easy if you do the homework. I would take him for all my calculus courses if he taught them.
