Very unclear on what she wants done within group projects. If you ask for clarity she expects you to know already and doesn't give a straight response.

Four tests total and lowest grade drops. Multiple group projects which are relatively easy. Recommend this professor. Only a story book is recommended, provides printed PowerPoint slide book through grey's book store.

Great professor and easy to work with. Doesn't use textbook, instead a small booklet of all powerpoint slides. If you do your part just showing up to class, she'll help you with the rest. Take her!!

Very nice. Textbook is actually interesting and so are the discussions. If you voice your opinion or experiences and so do others, you can learn about life and people. Seems to want to make you stop and think about the world. Highly recommend. Wants students to do well and be engaged.

Prof Hopf is an excellent professor. She may seem low key but she is incredibly intelligent and informed. She has her eyes open to the real world. She really just teaches how to be a better, more accepting person.

I really enjoyed learning from Prof. Hopf. I found the class to be really interesting. It heightens awareness. Her course pack is only $16 and really straightforward. She is very considerate of grades and open for discussion. She loves for students to be involved. I plan on taking her for more courses.

I took this professor's Human Sexuality course, hoping to learn cool new things. This was not the case. For a 300 level course on sexuality, I expected to be excited. Instead, all of her assignments were complete busy work. A 300 word paper proving you know how to use terms like "culture" and "gender"? Huge waste of time for a 300 level course.

Comment:
1) her text book is a $30 course pack of the printed out powerpoint slides she shows in class. 2) her lectures are not at all engaging or interesting. she records them and posts them online, yet attendance is mandatory and 15% of your grade. 3) tests and quizzes are open-note, but pointlessly tedious and random. overall disappointemnt.

She's extremely picky and has to have everything her way. The big paper of the class is ridiculous. We had to use a huge list of sociological words and put them in order to make sense to see if you know how to use them...pointless. Fairly easy class. Open note quizzes.

I liked this course. I think the prof makes you work, but the way she set up the grading I was able to earn a decent grade by doing extra credit. I enjoyed the lectures. It was easy to communicate with this professor and she was understanding about my personal circumstances.

i took her online class and it was pretty easy. she really one lecture for an hour or so and then has you watch videos that are pretty interesting. as long as you do everything she asks you'll do fine. plus she lets you use your notes on the test so even if you don't know something you can look it up.

She's a lecturer, mostly, but if you've done the reading and are willing to discuss the material in class, you'll be okay. Take special note of the titles and authors of the readings!!! They'll definitely be on the test!
