1. Do not buy the book, you don't need it and its expensive. 2. If you have to take COMM202, take it with Black! He is a very easy grader even if you are not the best at public speaking. He is very understanding and takes all of your fears into consideration. I am not good at public speaking at all and I still got an A. He is such a nice guy!

Professor Blacks class was super easy. Hes an easy grader on the speeches and understands that public speaking is not for everyone, so as long as you look up at least a couple of times during, youll get an A. He gives good feedback too. His class is kind of boring, but hes such a kind man.

This is an easy A, all it is, is lectures then speeches. Show up, do your speech, you pass. The midterm and final are both directly from the book and he provides powerpoints. He also provides study guides for both midterm and final. I took the 3hr night class and its pretty boring but its only one day a week. Tolerable.

RECOMMENDED!!! Great professor, really enjoyed this class. Very easy. You do 4 speeches, and have 2 tests, plus a final exam. For the tests, he tells you beforehand EXACTLY what is going to be on it. Memorize the order of things and you're golden. You also do lots of mini speeches where you talk for 30 seconds, so it's easy points.

Easiest class ever! Barely any homework, 4 exams and 3 of them you can use notecards on, and a few in-class speeches, which are easy to get a good grade on if you put a little effort into them. As long as you show up and do the work, it's a hard class to fail! Definitely the easiest one I took this semester!

Extremely Easy. Absolute easiest A at Shepehrd. Teaches night classes but the latest we ever got out was 8. Usually we got out by 7:30. Just say the speechs and do the easy stuff. You get to take test notes on like 5 notecards except for the final. In fact, you really have to try to get anything less than an A. He is too helpful if you actuly try

Very bad professor I also heard he was easy so I took him. That was a bad decision the speeches are not real hard but his tests are horrible. You will not learn anything from this class useless you teach it to yourself. Do Not Take Him....

I heard he was easy so I took his class. I guess this semester he decided to start playing hardball. He screwed a bunch of people over, and wouldn't let a girl remake a speech because she was absent to see off her best friend before he went to Afghanistan. He can barely talk and is a waste.

Not a great speaker himself...4 speaches & 2 tests one of which you can use 6 notecards. very easy understands that MOST people dont enjoy the class. Gives plenty of opportunity to do well. must evulate other students speeches...BIG part of grade..CAKE class!

Great guy, not great speaker, which is strange for a speech teacher. Is boring, but I feel bad for him because most people ignore him. Allows 6 notecards on all tests except final. Piece of cake.

Easy class! He's one of the easiest speech teachers to take and you can still learn and improve your speech techniques. It was a night class and we never stayed for the entire class time, which was nice. You only have to do about 4 speeches. Black is a really nice guy too, very understanding.

If you hate speech class, take this guy. He's not hard on you when grading the speeches. Plus, you only give about 4 or 5 speeches. You are allowed to have notecards for the tests which is a big plus. Lectures are boring but you never stay for the entire time period. He's a really nice guy.

Tests aren't open book anymore, but he lets you use a notecard or two. Every speech is pretty much a guaranteed A. The easiest way to lose points is to over the time limit. Mr. Black is a super nice guy.

Great Speech teacher. class easy, lots of extra credit, and OPEN BOOK TESTS!!! he's not a good public speaker himself, but it'll give you more confidence in your speeches.
