I've never been so bored in my life. She gives no breaks during the class and keeps us almost the entire time. she's new to NJCU and i wish she would go back to Kean.

I took her for one class and let me tell you, I struggled. The requirements for her paper are insane. Her class is boring and hard to stay awake in. The textbook is by far the worst text i have ever needed in a class. She even hates the text but we still had to get it. It is so hard to follow! This class sounded interesting but was very boring.

Took professor Garcia spring of 2014 and her exams were not easy at all because not all of the questions on the exam came from the power point. Some were from the book. Very strict when grading papers. 4 or more words that are highlighted together on turnitin will make your paper go down an entire letter grade.

Dr. Garcia really isn't as bad as all these reviews say she is. She makes you work for your grade, yes, but that's why we're in college right? Workload is decent. Definitely need to take notes, no homework, 3 essay exams, and one paper. She is a very nice professor, your effort will reflect your grade.

Garcia is a very sweet person, her lectures are very interesting and informative but you HAVE to take notes and study. The newsletter that was due was very hard you have to do it weeks in advance to get a good grade

She is extremely hard. In order to pass her test you have to study weeks in advance. The paper she has you do, in Victims of Crime class, is also hard. She is really picky and if she does not like how you worded something you will see it in your grade.

I took Criminology with her in Spring 2013 and she was really awful. The class had 25 students and a 11 students failed while the rest got Cs and Ds. The highest grade was a C+. She always talk about her kids and go off topic. Don't take!

Dr. Garcia has received a lot of negative reviews on here, and I have to disagree. Dr. Garcia is incredibly knowledgable and teaches this course at a COLLEGE level! You will leave this course knowing much more than you did prior to taking it. If you're lazy and looking for an easy A, you should probably not be in college. She is wonderful.

Dr Garcia is by far evil! Shes extremely fair and helpful. She takes great pride in what she does for her students.I took her for victims fall 2010 and it was great! She makes the class fun unlike some boring professors. Shes young and very smart! shes awesome I will take again! thanks Dr Garcia!

She was very easy to me she helped me on my senior sem paper when i needed help. All she requires is that you turn you work in on time and come to class you will pass with no problem i had her in spring 2010 right before i graduated and found nothing wrong with having to work a little.

this woman is condecending indeed! u need to be careful when taking her because you couldve had her class before and did great but you could do great in her sen sem and fail!I do believe she grades not based on work ethics but more so on qaulity of paper and favoritism, i think she might have the same complex as the woman from the movie "Wit"
