He was, without a doubt, the best English professor I have ever taken. He's so passionate about teaching, and you could really sense the amount of care and effort he puts into his job. He has high expectations for everyone, so this isn't really a class you can slack off and expect to pass. As long as you put in the work, this class is an easy A.

Amazing prof! You can tell he really genuinely cares about his students. Gives great feedback on essays and is very encouraging. Only thing I would say is that this was a very involved class to take as an elective. A ton of reading most days and mandatory quizzes every class so you can't miss class. But really a sweet guy!

Professor Juzwiak is by far the best English teacher I have ever had! Very thoughtful, caring and devoted to his class. He gives amazing lectures and is straight forward with homework and what he wants. Make sure to participate and stay on top of reading assignments, he makes them very fun!

Professor Juzwiak.... I have no words to describe the amazing man he is. He is the best professor Ive had at GCC, not only is he passionate about the subject he loves his students. He is brilliant and thorough with every subject that comes up in class. You will not regret signing up for his class. An amazing man and an amazing course. Thank you!

Professor J is probably the most amazing teacher Ive ever had. After taking many years off from school I returned and he provided me with the exact information I was craving. Going in I expected a horrible grade yet finished with an A. Took him 3 semesters in a row (101. 102, 103) would recommend anyone who can take him SHOULD.

BEST, BEST, BEST English teacher ever. Prof J is passionate about his job. There are a lot of essays and homework but he is always helping his students. Gives great feedbacks and appreciates your hard work. You will work with your classmates in groups, which makes easier to succeed. Easy A if you are ready to pay attention. WORTH TAKING.

Prof. Juzwiak Is one of the best English professors. He is extremely supportive, knowledgeable, and helpful. He can make his students fall in love with English major. If a student comes to a class prepared he/she is not going to fail his class. I would recommend everyone to take his class without thinking.

Professor Juzwiak is passionate and truly wants you to succeed. Attendance is mandatory as he deducts points for absences and will drop you after four. Make sure you read over the material thoroughly as he has reading quizzes for every class. The in-class essays are worth 75% of your grade, so make sure you're ready. Office hours are beneficial.

ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! He gives excellent feedback to help improve your writing skills. You actually LEARN without feeling like you are. The texts are extremely captivating. As long as you do your work (a reasonably assigned amount) you'll get an A. Most of the students do! Basically everything you want from an English prof! Love this class!

Professor J was an amazing person. A true kindhearted spirirt. Loved his lectures and his discussions about meditation and reaching Nirvana. Essays were eye opening and easy if you prepared for them.

this class changed my life. i grew so much as a writer and a person and it was all thanks to professor juzwiak's personality and teaching style. he really truly cares about every student in the class and he takes the time to give detailed feedback on all of the assignments. do all the homework and really take the time to prep for in-class essays.

This professor is awesome! He helps you grow as a writer and there was never a day were his class was boring. Expect to read and write for homework, but the literature can be fun and interesting. The hw is just to prep you for the essays. He gives quizzes in the beginning of class so don't be late! I definitely recommend this class!!

He was one of the most passionate english professors. Reading is everyday, but they are interesting stories! Before an exam he really makes it clear what he expects and you can always go to his office hours. Taking English 109 has made me become a better writer, and he also is extremly motivational! quizes are easy, just make sure you attend class!

Professor Juzwiak is like no other. I liked that he had nothing to prove intellectually, how he makes it your job to do so. The required reading is never boring nor daunting in the amount. He has good taste with a true passion for what he does and I respected that so I showed up every day with a mutual dedication to want to learn from him. Legend.

Don't be fooled. His impossible standards and contempt for contrasting opinions made him the worst professor I've taken at GCC. He told me I should go back to English 101 and I'm happy to say I dropped his class and am now getting my bachelors at a UC in English Literature. Cheers.
