His class is REALLY boring! He just reads off crappy powerpoint presentations. His test questions focus way too much on unimportant details, which makes a class that's supposed to be easy very hard. I wouldn't take him again!

This class was pretty difficult. Lectures are long and the tests are hard, but if you make sure to read the book and understand the material, then you will have no problem passing. The professor is a fair teacher and is helpful if you go into office hours. There is a big group project at the end.

I studied abroad with him in Barcelona and it was an amazing experience. He is very entertaining and knowledgable. If you pay attention and participate, he is not a difficult professor and you will learn a lot! Dr. Paik is a great guy and really cares about his students. I highly recommend taking his course!

Let me just start by saying if he likes you then he'll grade based on that. His lectures are very tedious, basically read whats written on the powerpoints verbatim with little to no explanation. Extremely hard tests. Its the self study kind of class. Textbook very important!!

No study guides, expects exact specific examples to his liking and does not give you and guidance on what they are beforehand. He likes to give big assignments and not take the time to explain them. For example there is a 10-15 pg research paper at the end of the semester and He only mentioned it once in the beginning of the semester. He's a d!ck 2

He made this one unit class more difficult than it needed to be. Attendance (10%), Participation (10%), Midterm (20%), Final (40%), Group Presentation (20%). Every student I've spoken with flunked his final (one of which cheated and wrote notes in his bluebook). If this professor is your only option available, take him in the BEGINNING of the term.

He is a good guy, not a great teacher-but you will learn a lot if you take his class. He wants his students to do well, while maintaining high performance expectations. If you listen, and read most of the material, you will do fine in this class. His tests are difficult, but he will tell you what is on them if you listen.

I thought he was pretty clear in his lectures. Kept me somewhat interested. Is a very hard grader on his tests, he give a LOT of work, and on top of text book readings he assigns articles that he expects everyone to read.

Paik is a great professor. A lot of people think he's hard. He just doesn't want to spoon feed anyone iformation. I really respect that about him. He is awealth of information. As long as you keep up with the reading, you'll be fine. I can't stress how much actually doing the reading before comming to class helps.

I am usually the kind of person that ignores negative ratings and will deal with a bad professor and do well. I went to him for some clarity after getting a D the second test, yet came out of his office feeling worse than I did going in. This is the only class I have ever dropped in my life and for good reason. If possible I would avoid this class.

THE WORST teacher I have ever taken in my entire life. Not only does he give the worst tests imaginable, he is also the rudest teacher I have ever taken. Avoiding this teacher would be the best decision you will ever make in your entire life.
