Comment:

This was my third class with Dr. McClanahan and I lover her. The class was a bit tough and you do write a lot of papers. Lectures everyday and you need to write notes. Tests can be tricky but if you go to class and pay attention, you will do fine.

Comment:

Andi McClanahan is one of those you'll either like or not like. I thought she was a great professor who is very knowledgable but she can be sometimes awkward with her lectures. Don't be fooled by her attitude she is a brutal grader who expects nothing but college level work. Make one mistake and that's 10-20% off your grade. Don't take her lightly

Analysis of Comm. Theory,TERRIBLE with McClanahan. Ive heard she is fantastic in her other classes which is why I would take another class with her just NEVER for CMST 250. You feel extremely overwhelmed. Attendance not required but participation is, GO TO CLASS otherwise youll be lost! The book barely helps. You can miss a whole theory in a day.

I love Dr. McClanahan! I cannot wait to take her again. This is my second class with her and I have enjoyed both! Lecture is so much fun and I look forward to this class!

12 online quizzes so you have to read the textbook lectures had nothing to do with the quizzes covered different material. First college class I actually read a whole textbook. Midterm and finals were inperson and kinda difficult.

I took Analysis of Communication Theories with McClanahan and it was the WORST class I have ever taken! She will assign you many papers which you will spend hours working on! You may follow her rubric as closely as possibly but you will still get a bad grade on it. Even if you go to the writing studio for the help on the paper, you will still fail.

I took Intro to Mass Media with Dr. McClanahan and loved it! She's so funny, it's never a dull moment in class. There are online quizzes every week, they are a little difficult so make sure you read the chapter first. There are extra credit quizzes which are great. Take one of her classes if you get a chance.

She is an amazing professor and knows her stuff. A good human being with such a bright soul. She is a competent professor. However, she isn't the most understanding. Doesn't really work with you. A lot of reading, however it isn't too bad because she assigns interesting texts.

Andi is really nice and funny but very strict with grading. You lose points off your final grade every time she sees you with your phone out. You can't get a good grade if you don't take the time to read the textbook and study for exams. Good news is class is always interesting and she shows a lot of TV shows. Good ones too, not crappy boring shows

I absolutely love Dr. McClanahan! She is so funny, interesting, and just an overall joy of a teacher. Everything we discussed in class was current and interesting. Her class was a bit challenging but if you attend the lectures and do what is expected of you, you will do well. One of my favorite professors at ESU!

She is so sweet but the class was crazy. Lecture everday but she did try to make it fun and modern. She would make everyone laugh it was a fun class but if you didn't show up it was not good for your grade.

I am literally in love with her. She will forever be my favorite professor. She always cancels Friday classes and assigns you a Netflix movie instead. The fact that she always ties it and current into lecture makes the class interesting. She is the true meaning of a communications professor, I wish I had her for everything else.

Dr. McClanahan was the best professor that I ever had at ESU. She truly cared about every student. She related well and conveyed the point she was trying to make well. I had her for a couple of classes and knowing now she is in charge of the department, ESU is making better decisions, post Dr. Sanders.

I'm pretty sure Andi is a 5yr old at heart which always makes class slightly comedic! Unfortunately our class was huge, but she did great with so many people and it was always interesting and engaging. The book was the Bible in that class because of weekly online quizzes. Overall easy and fun class, cool professor, definitely recommend her!

I've taken her for two of the classes needed for my Women's Studies minor and she blew me away. Funny, intelligent, curious, likes pop culture, relatable. I haven't had a class with her in a year and I still drop by her office hours once in a while to say hi. She's my hero.
