The class is set up to when you arrive, you do math problems on the board and that's it. Material is learned from his online lecture videos and the textbook. In class he just socializes with the student aide and doesn't help much. When you do ask for help he isn't of much use.

He has an ego bigger than he should. He has an ego of a higher level chemistry teacher and he is just a teacher for lower level chemistry. Nothing to exactly brag about.

Dr. Simpson is extremely intelligent and helpful. Chemistry is pretty tough but if you're going to take the course try your best to get him. He knows what he doing and will help you in and out of class. pulled off an A and I couldn't have done it without him. Great guy!!

Absolutely great Chemistry professor, in and out of the classroom. He is always willing to help a student and will quickly become your go to guy.If there is a Chemistry professor to take at Coastal I highly recommend him. I went into the class knowing little to nothing about Chemistry and I came out completely prepared for my other ones, great guy

Very good teacher. Always willing to help. Tries to make things as clear as possible. Homework can be difficult but its doable and he gives 4 chances for each homework. Tests are straight forward and passable. You must attend class because he gives small quizzes everyday. If you study and actually try you are able to earn an A

great professor. he is very helpful outside of class, and actually cares about his students, as long as you put effort into it. you do have small quizes every class period, but they don't count much; i got about a 60 quiz average, and i still got an A in the class. just remember; it is chemistry, it's going to be tough. you gotta study.

Its an alright class. He is awkward, and the homework is ridiculous (which in the end will screw your grade). Tests are easy, and attendance is mandatory. Not too much fun.

Overall good teacher. Gives quizzes almost daily so attendance is recommended. Knows what hes talking about but at times gets a little excited and is not always clear. Hes a pretty cool guy outside of the classroom and wants you to do well, you just have to put in the effort.

Material is difficult, but that's chem for you. Gives examples of math problems in class. Always willing to help students, approachable, knows subjust. Very understanding. Made one of my least favorite subjects not only bearable, but almost enjoyable.

Great teacher! Would do just about anything to help you...it is just that the material is difficult if chemistry is not your thing. If you think he is bad, you should try taking Goodwin next time..then you would see what bad is!
