You have to go to 4 different plays and write a 5 page paper over each of them, there's a final project that is really confusing, and you have to complete 15 hours working in the theatre department. If you dont have a lot of free time dont take this class. Weekly quizzes can be hard, you can find someone that has them from other years

I personally loved Dr. Hough. If you want to learn, he'll teach you! I loved his sense of humor! He'll discuss any questions or concerns you may have. He's a great man. If you do the work, you'll pass!

Arbitrary grader who is just going through the motions because he is tenured. Doesn't use Blueline so no way of knowing your grade; uses website he made yrs ago. Final is optional, but you won't get an A in the class without taking it, no matter how well you did coming in. If you don't "do well" on the final, it can lower your grade. Not good.

I honestly think he shouldn't work in a college. He doesn't bother to learn students names unless they are in the department and he doesn't care about student opinions. He is a very unclear grader and gives virtually no feedback. He states his opinions as facts and disagreeing with him is not an option.

I took this senior perspective because I like movies and would love to learn more about how they're made. Although the content should be interesting, Hough's style of teaching made it INCREDIBLY hard to follow and understand. Lectures were uninformative and confusing, though he seems to know his stuff. Movies are interesting. The final is optional.

Super easy class; basically watch movies and listen to him talk about them with very little input from students. Very unclear about papers & the grading is very arbitrary- he just underlines words in your paper & writes your score. Final exam is optional; he does not give an A if you don't take the final, even if you have done well on the papers

He's difficult to get ahold of, grumpy in class, and unclear about papers. His information is outdated and unhelpful to the course, and don't even bother talking to him outside of class. He picks some objectively bad films for class, and shows little/no enthusiasm. You will get a B, no higher and no lower. But whatever, its an SRP. Take it.

Infuriatingly inaccurate if you like the subject. I could'nt stand this guy or his immensely outdated views on technology, the subject, and life in general. I didn't wear my seatbelt while going to school because I wanted to perish rather than go to class. Pretty easy, but totally unclear.

Easy A. He gives you about 90% of the answers to all his quizzes and exams. Every project that you do is equivalent to something that you do in the 5th grade. Don't be offended if he doesn't remember your name, he cares less about this class than you do.

How can anyone not love hough?!?! You're embarrassing if you can't get a good grade, first of all, because hough lays it all out on the table for you. It's not rocket science, but you do have to make SOMEWHAT of an effort. If you're actually interested in pursuing what he teaches, he's willing to help you. Bruce Hough is the man.

this class helps you a lot. is fun if you're interested in it! (even more fun when you have friends in the class) you learn all aspects of basic tv studio behind the scenes with audio/sound etc. and on the floor with cameras. fun teacher- hough is a silly guy.

Easiest class ever. Beware, you won't really learn that much though. He's the only teacher the year that I took Intro to JMC. Lab is fun, but he doesn't really teach besides the lab and first weeks of school. It mostly is guest speakers from different forms of media. Take the class though, good GPA booster and an understanding professor.

Dr. Hough is one of my favorite professors. He loves what he does and it is a lot of firsthand knowledge. He is understanding and he is entertaining. He likes to poke fun and keep class more relaxed. He gives opportunity to learn and have fun in class. Definately take him if you get the chance. DEFINATELY...
