I respect her more than any professor I have had at this college, but all the information is so important! Dr. C saw that our study group was putting a lot of effort into her class and not receiving a respectable grade. She took an unpaid two hours every friday (driving from Columbus) to give us extra class time.

conflicted what was said with information on the powerpoints. When you ask her questions she responds by saying "this is easy, you should know this". Teacher did not seem to want her students to succeed. Tests are extremely difficult as she focuses on all the minor details that no one will possibly remember once in the actual Nursing career.

Patho's class because there's a lot of information and I didn't think Dr. Cherrington helped much at all. She is very smart but talked too fast and when you asked questions she seemed rude and get defensive. Study her PowerPoints and refer to the book only if you're confused. Don't spend time reading it. I got an A in the class so just study hard!!

You have to study a lot for this class. But her tests are all off of her power points so you don't really need to read.

Patho is a very hard class because there is a lot of material. Dr. Cherrington is super nice. She gives weekly quizzes that are optional and worth extra credit points. Some exam questions would come from the quiz. The exam questions were superficial compared to how deep the material was. Her exams were beyond fair and she recorded every lecture.

I had her for both Pharm and Patho. Both are very HARD classes and you need to put A LOT of time into them. I got a B in Patho and an A in Pharm so a good grade is doable. She is a hard instructor but if you study off her notes and know your key drugs for Pharm, you will do fine. Her lectures can be boring but she does offer extra credit!

She is an extremely hard professor. Her notes and the book sometimes does not add up and her exams consist of material never discussed. She is not approachable what so ever. Good Luck.

Comment:
Really a difficult teacher, not because her material is difficult, but because 10% of her info is inaccurate (conflicting directly with text), and because her tests are clearly over things she has never discussed that are not in the book (and I write everything down). Really seems like a teacher that does not want her students to succeed.

This is not an easy class but Dr. C could not do more to help you succeed. She offers the ability to earn extra credit that can offer as much as 5% to your grade. She records every single lecture so you can go back and listen for details you missed. Her exam questions come directly from her lectures and powerpoints. Don't blame her because patho is a hard subject!

I'd rather stick my head in the ground for 10 weeks than have to sit through 10 weeks of class with her again. She has zero teaching skills and is as exciting as a tree stump. She reads directly from the powerpoint notes without many elaborations. She needs to accept the fact that her students dislike her class!! Do us a favor and PLEASE RETIRE!!!!

I had her for Research and Patho. She is extremely knowledgeable and her exams are difficult, but it is possible to get an A if you study hard. She appears unapproachable in class but actually she's a very nice lady. I went to her office many times and she was VERY helpful in explaining hard concepts. She works hard on her courses & it shows.

She is awful. Doesn't clarify anything & when asked a question she'll just say she's not going to tell you what's on the test instead about caring what you learn. This is a weed out class. Be prepared to have no social life for 10 weeks. PS. the final is comprehensive & over 1400 slides to study. Good luck.

Her tests are hard especially the third exam and the final. Don't think you'll pass even if you do good on the 1st and 2nd exam. She never has time to answer questions after class and if she finds out you're not smart she looks down on you.

Class was hard but I feel as if I'm more prepared for graduation & my practi****. This has been one of my fav classes & it's just like patho but w/ interventions which anyone who wants to be a nurse should know. It is possible to get an A. If you need help, go to her b/c she will help you if you have any problems or questions.

I don't think she is that bad. Yes, she is a female version of Ben Stein as far as the monotone voice goes but the availability of the notes, audiostreams, etc. online make it much easier.

What I liked was how her power points & lecture notes were available for us to print. It made lecture & studying for exams much easier. Her exams are hard but as long as you study from both the notes & power points you can get an A. It's not impossible. Extra credit also helps a lot so be sure to do that. I thought the cat pics were funny, lol

Cherrington hands down is one of the worst teachers I have ever had in my whole college and high school career. She has the most boring lectures with a very monotone voice and you don't add much of anything to the notes. Her tests are ridiculous and sometimes don't even go with the material. Be careful with this teacher and stand up for yourself!!!

She was absolutly awful. She doesn't care about her students at all as evidence by her making a pregnant classmate come in and take the final exam, one day prior to her giving birth. Absolutly no joke. She always has mispellings littered in her tests and puts questions on the tests that are not in the notes.
