I don't know how she is now. However, the attitudes and skills she taught in COBOL make a great deal of sense in the workaday world. In the real world documentation, reliability and communication matter much more then raw brainpower. Modern stuff like C# and Java are great. It is best used, however, with an old style COBOL attitude.

This teacher basically has no concept of Java and teaches the class off of a standard pre-made template for teaching the class. The answers on the quizzes are wrong and the homework is so easy it's lame.
