Comment:

Three class field trips to museums in SF. Art kit that you have to buy is about $100. She isn't the best with social cues but she does her best to be nice. Just do your work and you'll get an A. You have to come to class. If you miss any you have to make up with an extra field trip or event and present about it to the class. I made some great work.

It has been almost 7 years since I first took Ms. Golojuch's class, her work and technics still resonate within my studies & in my career. I strongly believe more professors need the diligence and the structure that she so deliberately has. If you want to stand out among your peers take her, if you want to blend in with everyone else, well then...

Do not take this Professor at all cost. On the first day, she will really try to scare you away. The entire class time, theres no need for creativity because she wont allow anything other than her own ideas. That goes the same for your drawings. She will only approve of your work if its up to her high standards. Plus, her comments are rude.

Whatever you know about art is wrong. She has good insight but isnt nice with it. 2+ absences dropped. 15 min late absence, must make up 3 HOURS to erase absence. No humor, drones on a lot. Dont take other classes same day, fieldtrips meet in SF during scheduled class, do make up assignment or take absence. Easy tests 1st half of semester.

She is a wonderful artist and knows her stuff. Be open to her critiques, you will benefit in the world of art. She might try and scare you away the first couple of classes, but stick with it. Very good class. I would definitely take her again.

She really knows what she's doing and she can definitely teach you your foundations into drawing. I've learned a lot in the class and learned multiple types of art styles that I haven't heard of and I improved a lot. While the class doesn't allow you to be creative she does help you to be a better artist, be open to her criticism and you can pass

Although ur drawing is great she will find waysto erase whatever she thinks is not right.U mostly cant freehand drawings so its pointless bringing ur items b/c you have to trace them anyways.She will ask and comment on ur major offensively "its like u have to be an actor to be able to be one".If u take this class do not let her ruin ur confidence.

If you are a art major person! Take her, she is the best helper for your art carrier! I would suggest to take her class for the day which she have only one class to teach, since she is better without day pressure, and more easy to get A. I'm not a good drawing person but she does help me a lot of drawing class. So far Easy A+ for me to be honest!

There's no creativity here, just draw what you see. It's not fun, it's silent(there's no socializing at all!!).This class is about the money, regulations and rules. You do everything her way. The first tests are how you know the rules of the class which is a COMPLETE waste of a grade and very unfair. I should be graded on art not the rules.

I really didn't like this professor. She is humorless, unenthusiastic, and not helpful. Her assignments are vague, but her assessments are strict, meaning you don't know what she wants until after the assignment is done. Very narrow-minded and very blunt with students, borderline rude. Difficult to listen to as well. Lectures in the monotone.

She is strict. She likes it quiet, and likes things done her way. This may sound bad, but when you think about it: You're gonna want it quiet when you're focused on drawing...The downside is you can't be creative. It's a realism class: Drawing real items as precisely as you can. BE OPEN TO HER CRITICISM. It may sound harsh, but she is actually help

Has a very specific style that she teaches, and you must follow that exact, precise style. Only draws still-life or copies from photographs; NO CREATIVITY ALLOWED. Calls it "Academic Realism." If you like detailed rendering work, you might like this class. Very blunt with criticism. You must have a thick skin.

Great teacher because she gave me all the help I aksed for. I went in knowing a little about drawing and left knowing a lot. I recommend the class if you want a serious teacher who cares about you producing good drawings.

She demands great art work from every student. She is one of the rudest teachers I've ever had as well. She talks to her students like a mean kindergarden teacher would talk to hers. And she threatens to call campus security when students would just be frustrated with their grade. quite ridiculous if you ask me.

She's actually not that bad I keep telling myself that i'm not going back to that class but because of the beautiful art that i've created i return all the time... (NOTE)= She will scare you when you first go to her clas just to see if you can hang her mean critism... But after that her TA's basically teaches u everything ;-)

I had MsG 30yrs ago and as an artist I was permanently scarred from the experience in her class.I changed my major the 2cnd semester from graphic des. Everything I spent hours on she struck through in red ink.No talk, No humor, No instruction-today im a degreed Interior Designer-FORGET HER! Dont let profs like her make u think u dont have talent!

Note: This class is NOT for you if you're not thinking of going into the art field and you just need units. This professor doesn't take crap, has no sense of humor, and as I quote her, "There is no room for creativity in this class". However, if you're serious about improving your skills as an artist, I recommend this class.

If you do not know how to draw or anything artistic she WILL teach you! She will not "baby" anyone. Shes a Very good artist and if you listen to what she says and take her suggestions you will come out learning something. If she doesn't like what you are doing you know right from the start.
