pAddy is very personable, funny, and great to talk to about any topic. For being one of my professors during my first semester of college, pAddy helped me and guided me to see different perspectives of the world in and outside of his class.

pAddy is, by far, my favorite professor I've had. He is absolutely brilliant, and it is so clear how much he loves his work and cares for his students. He is a tough grader, but he will do all he can to help you improve. He wants you to succeed. Do the reading, and participate. Taking a class with pAddy is a MUST.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. this is not an intro class. I would never wish this on anyone. The reading is ridiculous. The class goes to the minute. You will never understand the readings. You will fail every assignment because he's a pick grader and will find a way for you to fail.

Covers a broad range of material. I've found myself coming back to things I learned in this class in all the other classes I've taken since. Helpful, provocative, and encourages meaningful discussion and thought. (He also might be a lowkey genius!). He is, however, a tough grader so you you really have to work for it.

Great professor who engages all of his students and gives insightful opinions without shoving it down your throat. One of the best professors I've ever had and he is particularly good at making you look at all sides of an issue/story/worldview. Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing professor!! Brings to mind various intellectual and philosophical topics...really gets you thinking :) Very helpful and entertaining, thus far the best professor I have had at Whittier! But definitely make sure you do your reading, it's VERY important!

Probably the best teacher I have ever had. Other professors don't know how to be a teacher they just have their PHD's. But Dave makes it all so interesting and fun. Definitely inspired me to be a teacher. You get so much out of it when you do the work! Best English professor at Whittier!
