He is an brilliant man who knows poetry, but my course with him only had four papers, and only two of those were graded! So 50% of your grade is just blindly writing without any real expectations or understanding of how he grades, and after that paper I still received very limited feedback. Phenomenal lecturer, poor mentor.

I had this class ... almost four years ago and I still remember what an impact it had on me. I consider myself to be a pretty good writer, but this class was extremely challenging. I don't know about Baker helping out "attractive girls." Offered help to everyone. Doesn't hurt that he's gorgeous!

One of the best teachers at Denison. Never have I learned more about life from a professor. He treated everyone in the class, who tried hard and did their best, well--and yes, contrary to a previous post, even the girls who weren't that hot.
