Nice guy but awful professor. This man really tested my patience. Went to him for help several times, he was super vague and wouldn't give a straight answer. Will take points off for ridiculously small things, and if you question him he will accuse you of criticizing him. I was really interested in this subject and he made it almost unbearable.

took this class as a major elective because I saw some positive reviews and thought he would be a good professor. Well, I was wrong! It was so hard to predict what would be on the exams. There are 3 exams which make up most of the grade, so if you do bad on one it is hard to bounce back. When I went over my exams with him he was extremely unclear.

For such a difficult subject he does an amazing job. Great lectures, very clear. He's very helpful. Reminds me of Glen Miller. I definitely recommend this class

David Berlinsky is one of the best professors I've had at UNH. He is hilarious, very kind, and extremely knowledgeable. He is organized, eloquent, and extremely clear in the way he presents his material, and he truly wants all of his students to succeed. His quizzes and exams are very fair and straightforward. I highly recommend him and this class.

This guy is the man. He is extremely funny and with little effort creates a class that is innately interesting and you will learn more than you ever thought possible about aquaculture. This was a great class, everything is free game for the exams but they weren't bad provided you attended class. Lab is more difficult but the trips are worth it!

very challenging class, but I learned more in his classes than the rest of my education at UNH. Very enthusiastic and initiates discussions!

Like the others said, he is not up-to-date on the online technologies. That means that ou really have to come to class and take notes (or buy/copy them from a classmate) if you want to pass the exams. I'm not the best student, but I really enjoy biology and I loved hearing his lectures. I learned a lot. I'm glad he taught this course.

Worst professor I have ever had. He doesn't teach - you just take 50 pages of dictation, all of which are fair-game for each exam. Doesn't use Powerpoint, or god-forbid, e-mail so there are no lecture outlines and he doesn't reply to questions. Class was an exercise in rote memorization. Aweful waste of my time and $.

Definitely enthusiastic and funny. Clips along at a really good pace. Sometimes his thoughts were pretty disjointed and/or interrupted by random tangents. Tests were pretty much about memorizing your notes. I didn't take the lab with this class, but I heard it was much better than the lecture. Nice guy, excited about his subject.

Lively lecturer, flies through material. Answers to questionss were often unsatisfactory. Doesn't reply to e-mail or use Blackboard. If you're good at rotely memorizing & regurgitating info you'll do well. If you think critically about things, you won't be rewarded in this class. I got an A but didn't learn much; ideas weren't connected well.
