Comment:

The lectures are super dense and difficult to pay attention to. It's difficult to know what to study for the exams so good luck! The lab is useless but a good way to earn easy points. Dr. Wisner is nice enough, but I think the subject it just difficult to make interesting.

This class was based on concepts and rarely used math. Very laid back and easy paced class. I learn better with understanding concepts so I enjoyed this class.

Comment:

Wisner is the best. He wants students to work in groups during the exams which allows us to ask questions and make sure that we understand the material. Lab is easy and his GA's are really helpful. Overall it's not that difficult of a class, however there are topics that are in-depth but he does a great job at teaching us what we need to know.

Comment:

Dr. Wisner is a good guy and really cares about his students, his teaching style I guess just wasn't for me. Some of his questions on exams you have to read 2-3 times because you will be taught something one way, and then he'll flip a tiny detail and you have to make sure you know all the little pieces. Wasn't bad, just not my favorite.

Comment:

HSC 308 with Dr. Wisner is the way to go. His exam study guides are life-savers and the quizzes are super helpful. He does a great job preparing you for the final, but you have to put in some time and effort yourself. Lectures can be dry but it isn't Wisner's fault, it's just the subject. He does his best to keep things interesting though! 10/10 :)

Dr. Wisner is an amazing professor and a great person too. He gives very clear expectations for this class and really works with you to help you not only get a decent grade but to understand the material. Would definitely recommend taking this class with him!

TAKE IT WITH WISNER. This WILL BE the easiest professor you can take this class with. Ex phys is not the easiest subject, especially if 215 wasn't the best for you. Do his study guides and the online quizzes before exams and you'll get an A. Go to his office hours and ask questions. He'll do anything to help his students. Again, THE BEST PROF.

Dr. Wisner is by far one of my favorite professors here at CMU. He provides detailed PowerPoints for each topic. Everything you need is in those PowerPoints. Put in the time to study those, and the class is an easy A. Tried to keep everyone engaged. Hes very laid-back and extremely helpful.

I LOVE DR. WISNER! He is so nice and so helpful! He gives you everything you need in his powerpoints (didn't even open the book). I learned so much in his class and the exams are fair. He gives online quizzes beforehand and will pull questions from those to put on exams! Super awesome professor, but make sure you put in the effort! TAKE HIM!

Dr. Wisner was such a nice professor. I was anxious going into the class because the prof wasn't Jayaraman. Dr. Wisner is extremely clear about the material and makes it actually interesting. Go to lecture and have the powerpoints in front of you. He gave study guides for the exams. I never scored below a 90% on exams. Take him!

Very good teacher. I really liked him. He helped me out a lot this year. If you have prior knowledge this class is pretty easy. He is very open to answering your questions and helping you with whatever you need. I would love to have this professor again.

He really cares about his students and will do everything he can to make sure you understand, even if they seem kind of silly. The textbook is never used, so don't bother! The physics part might be a little confusing if you have NO knowledge, but it's pretty basic information.

Terrrrrible class. i hated going to this class. he covered wayyy too much material and the exams were tough, which included multi choice, matching and always 2 essay questions. This class was very boring. Had one article review which was easy only worth 10pts and a few easy case studies, but seriously take it with someone else.

Overall, the class is just difficult. I would appalled a man that could make this class easy. He does whistle at students, and I would do dirty things to that man's beard

Dr. Wisner is the nicest man! His whistle when he talks gets a little unbearable. His exams are pretty hard & goes over a lot of material, so it requires a lot of studying. You really don't need to go to class though, especially if you have notes from previous semesters. Hard to comprehend material b/c there is SO much note taking during lecture.
