I took Yow GEO 210 winter online course and it was a breeze. Total of 6 modules and I recommend getting an online text book so you can just search key words. Super easy to get an a. The module took me a couple hours to complete but you can go in and out of it as you like until the due date. Recommend for an easy online class.

Comment:

He is a really great person who cares about his students. NOT a gen ed, but I stayed in it because I ike him so much. Maybe it's just me but I didn't get the grade I wanted. Got a 64% on the first exam and that messed me up the whole semester. Grade comes from 80% exams and 20% weekly quizzes over that class' lecture so that SUCKS but great person

I really liked him. He was really funny and nice. I wish I was doing better in his class though. He teaches really fast and I recommend writing down as much as possible. I will leave this class with 5/ 6 pages of notes some days. I currently have a C in his class right now but that does not include the final exam. He just grades exams and quizzes.

This was an easy online course, he gives you one module per week that just has one 25 point quiz due by that Sunday. All the answers are in the book and/or online. Highly recommend taking this course online.

This is an overall easy class, Yow is GREAT! He's so helpful, he's fast to respond to emails or questions & grades are posted faster than most. Just be sure and do EVERY assignment (theyReasy), don't miss a single one! This is CRUCIAL to get an A! I missed one because the due date was off by a day and it took my grade down a whole letter! TAKE HIM!

Great online summer course! Very easy to manage while having a part-time job. You have 2-3 modules due each week and he allows you to use your textbook and his powerpoints to complete the tests at the end.

Our only grades for the course, if I remember correctly, are quizzes and tests. The subject matter is very interesting, at least to me, so even though the class was all PPT lectures, I enjoyed it. Dr. Yow makes the material easy to understand and welcomes questions. The textbook is highly encouraged, but not mandatory.

Hands down the best teacher in his department, and definitely one of, if not the most, favorite teachers I've had at EKU! He makes lectures/homework relatable to your career choice and major, super patient with helping you if you don't understand something (he even helped me with homework from a different dept!). Hilarious and cool dude, TAKE HIM!

Intelligent & knowledgeable in the subject area. Lectures use presentation slides each day with the rare exception of variability - which is too repetitive for my tastes. Clear expectationsgrading. Strict attendance policy.

Took for GEO 115 and it has been my favorite class so far (I'm a junior) he is hilarious. there are quizzes at the end of each class that are open note. take decent notes, pass the quiz, study those notes for 30 minutes a class get an A+ on the exam. his exams have 5 extra credit questions as well so that is awesome.

He is a WONDERFUL teacher! He really has a passion for the subject he teaches, you can tell. He's hysterical as well. I scored over 100% on all four exams (he even let us have a cheat sheet for the first one). Class is fun and interesting, I highly recommend it!!

Very rude. If a student asked for help whom he didn't know, he would either ignore the question or make the student look stupid for asking. Not a good teacher, and would not take him again. I am a 3.9 GPA student, and I think he is horrible at lecturing. He randomly will mention interesting facts in class, and that will be the entire test.Don't Tak

I enjoyed Meteorology so much (required), I decided to take him for GEO 115 (Hollywood Weather (not required)). GEO 315 is pretty much the most excellent science class I've had in college.
