Comment:

Frank is extremely narcissistic and you need to do everything exactly the way he says to do it. If you disagree with something, don't even bother offering your opinion, he won't even hear it. His class however, is pretty easy. Do things exactly how he says to.

Comment:

This is basically another speech class, but more advanced. Everything you need to know is given to you right when the class starts on the rubrics. He teaches class as a presentation, exactly how you are to present your own. All the comments below are irrelevant, Frank tells you exactly what he expects. Do what he says and you'll receive an A.

Just listen to what is said and you will pass. It takes more of an effort to fail this class than to pass. Keep up with the readings, and you will be prepared for the quizzes and exams. The tests were not to bad, and the final group project is basically a do it and pass assignment.

He was always willing to answer questions and clearly explained what was required of us in the class. The primary purpose of the class is to become more skilled at giving professional mediated presentations. The assignments, including (most) group projects, were helpful in achieving that goal. But, the lectures got old quick. Same jokes, sayings

CORNY JOKES! He can be sarcastic at times, but does give his students freebies on upcoming quizzes and exams. 2 speeches, tri-fold brochure presentation, and an end of the semester CD portfolio. Overall, not that bad.

Frank was by far my favorite professor that I have had. He comes off as a stuck up guy, but in reality, he's really down to Earth. If you give him the respect, he will give it right back. If you attend class, and do all the required work. You will pass with an A. Highly recommend Frank.

He tells you exactly what is expected on papers and tests. A lot of in class interviews so you really can't miss. Overall, he explains things very well. He jokes about what people have said on this site about him. He does seem to take it to heart since He is nothing like how people described him to be now and it is clear he is trying to improve now

Horrible. If you don't have to take him don't. He does not care about his students and is so disrespectful and rude. Should not be a teacher. He loves to listen to him talk, and he is the only one. Vague about things for no reason. It was like he did not want you to succeed.

FRANK IS HORRIBLE! Study guides are extremely unclear so do not expect to do well on his tests. Quizzes are extremely hard as well. He wastes a lot of time talking about things that have been learned in other classes and expect way too much for speeches. Overall, if you have to take his class you will NOT BE HAPPY!

Such a bad teacher. Very hard grader especially on papers. I withdrew from it because he gave me an F on my goals paper. I couldn't believe it. He does not explain anything and it shows when he grades. Don't take him.

This teacher was horrible. He never really explained anything well. He may seem nice at first but he grades bad. I would not recommend him to no one. I withdrew from his class and took it in the summer.

Try to avoid. He does not explain anything clearly. Makes classes harder than they should be. He gets angry when students do not understand his expectations, when he doesn't even clearly state them. Too harsh of a grader. Thought he was cool at first, disappointed.

Gained useful information in his interviewing class, but I was confused a lot in the class. Never gives a direct answer but tends to get frustrated when students are still confused. Very harsh grader. Always uses his outside voice inside. It's a little unsettling to have a lecture screamed at you.

Ridiculously hard grader on papers, still kind of tough on speeches. He's very funny and easy to talk to, but quizzes and tests are quite difficult in my opinion. Make sure you read the book and practice your speeches plenty. Not the worst teacher I've had, but I probably would've done better with a different instructor.

Very funny and great guy. Tough grader and sometimes not very clear. When asking questions he doesn't give clear answers. Very enthusiastic but like I said, he is a very tough grader. If you have him, be a huge suck-up.

Seriously? I thought COM 110 was supposed to get you comfortable speaking in front of people? Frank is such a hard grader & it's almost impossible to get an A on speeches! He doesn't even have a teaching degree, only a communications degree. He is one of the only actual professors for com. If you can take another GRAD STUDENT, do it!!

Worst teacher I have ever had. Completely ridiculous and alienated students. Grading is unreasonable and biased. He doesn't teach how to be at good public speaker, he teaches how to be a robot. Do NOT take this class with him. He should never be a teacher.

He starts out as a cool guy. Later you realize he is a hard ass. He expects you to attend all classes or else he takes off participation points and you have to do bogus alternate assignments. While all your friends give crap speeches and get A's you could give the best speech of your life and only get a B. We also never get out of class early.
