Comment:

Super caring & understanding. She does load you up with work though. But as long as you put in the effort & work, you should still get a good grade. You're assigned to create your own Blogger & blog monthly about your readings into 3 paragraphs. Easy 2-3 question quizzes, no exam. LOTS of "TAG" (peer feedback to class group discussions).

Comment:

Professor Moore is such a good professor. She makes online classes so easy and enjoyable. She provides photocopies of the textbook and will allow students to use free online versions of the other text materials too. There is a lot of creative writing and she provides instructional videos and short outlined lectures that I find the most helpful.

Comment:

Definitely take this class for a GE if you want to learn something interesting & dont want to be stressed. There are about two assignments due every week (one being a discussion board). Professor Moore is very clear with her expectations and grading and really understanding. do your work and youll get an A

Comment:

She's a really nice and helpful teacher that makes humanities fun to learn. The quiz/exams are just the study guides. Lots of reading however with lots of writing responses but they're all fairly easy. There's also a writing assignment which she grades with the expectation of college level.

Comment:

Shes very knowledgeable and insightful about the material and offers a very meaningful perspective on the subjects she teaches. Her tests are directly from the material, she gives many resources and constantly keeps upto date on things. Works to remove busy work and gives many options for extra credit through the semester.

Comment:

Practically impossible to pass without attending class. Her study guides are very close to the tests, but most answers found in lecture. There's a good number of essays to write and she takes attendance everyday. She keeps it pretty interesting, but you definitely have to work for the grade. She's very caring.

Comment:

Every class is lecture heavy. Id recommend the use of an audio recorder, as her lectures can get very detailed. I enjoyed that she handed out a study guide to go with each topic and that those study guides were nearly identical to the exams. Overall, Professor Moore is very knowledgeable and has a great way of giving an old topic new life! Easy A!

Prof. Moore is a great and passionate professor. She really enjoys teaching Humanities. Very knowledgeable, likes to crack jokes. There is a lot of reading, just for the main assignments, the study guides is exactly the same as the exams, so do the study guides and you'll ace the exams. Class is lecture heavy, don't skip. You need answers .

this class had a lot of work for a general ed class, but she is passionate about what she teaches. her study guides are literally the test so if you just do it and memorize it, you'll pass. she gives you plenty of opportunities to redo assignments for a better grade and will help you will anything you ask and lead you through step by step.

Shes a caring professor and the subject is interesting. She makes sure you have between 6-9 hours of weekly homework because thats what the state of CA says. 3 big papers thought the semester, almost like an English writing class. There are multiple assignments per week, some due on days there isnt class. Essay question exams and quizzes.

This class was way harder than I expected a Humanities class to be. But, she is one AMAZING professor. She makes you work hard, but you will learn a lot from her and this class. If you're not ready to put in a lot of effort into studying and writing then she isn't for you. Such an amazing, inspirational woman though.

Mrs. Moore is honestly a great teacher. Her class is very easy. We take notes everyday so you have to attend class, plus she takes roll. The study guide is exactly whats on the test. Theres one big paper. We read 3 books together. Her class is easy. Just show up, put in effort, and you should pass with out a problem.

Comment:

Professor Maureen Moore is the first professor that made me enjoy learning history or humanities. She is a fantastic lecturer and a very great story teller. Her reviews are the same as the test. Just make sure to study, and you will do well.

Everything I've written in the class she's given me an F for because it is bove high school level English. Everything I submit writting wise she gives condesending feedback on. I had to take it up with the dean.

Assignments are assigned on any day of the week so you have to be checking your D2L every day. When the teacher would see failure, she would reiterate to the class that it is not a difficult class and in a condescending way. Who is it easy for? You or Us? Teachers are worried about being perceived as doing something wrong so they cover their tracks

Comment:

Professor Moore is a funky woman that actually cares about her students. The homework load is a bit heavy but she lays out exactly what she expects and gives you feedback to resubmit for full grade. She's quite inspirational also. I recommend!

Comment:

It's an easy A, but there's a lot of unnecessary busy work. She thinks she's a gift from god or something and has a tendency to go on long political/religious tirades that get very annoying very quickly. Most everything she taught I had already learned in high school. The only good thing I can say about her is she lectures on all the test material.
