Great teacher on the whole. MAKE SURE YOU READ THE TEXTBOOK. His lectures for the most part are fairly interesting. His grading system is generous considering the fact that anything between a 90-100 is an A. Four tests the whole semester and the lowest is dropped

Siefort is the man. Lessons are very interesting and he is very comical, especially in some topics he covers. He is extremely layed back and definitely worth taking. Only problem are the tests... the student advisor makes the tests and can often choose extremely unimportant figures and questions that even the author doesn't find important.

Nice guy, but lecture is SO BORING. You do not need to go to class (except he does clicker questions worth 10% of final grade). The exams are hard unless you've read the chapters at least 2 times. Don't study notes. Read the chapter and use MySocLab. He takes questions off MySocLab and his clicker questions are sometimes on test.

Honestly, prob more useful in office hours. You have to READ TO DO WELL and mysoclab actually helps. His lectures can be dry and annoying due to what he covers in lecture is largely not on the exam. MUST READ TO DO WELL. My only advice on how I got my A...and oh yea clicker points fair but questions aren't obvious..overall he's ok...

Siefert is an awesome professor.He has 5 easy tests and if u do well on the first 4 u dont even have to take the 5th one. Has some cool videos, some of his classes are cancelled. Overall he is a great guy, teaches with exceptional clarity, tests are so simple, I got an A- try and sit in the first few rows and he ll know ur there and may give bonus.

Really genuine nice guy. read the book go to class get an A. dont read the book go to class get a B, dont go to class dont read get a C. his class is really straight forward. really not that hard to do well if you put some time into it.

Worst teacher I have had at ub so far, says he will do one thing then does something else. Not very helpful, disregards emails, do not take his class, other soc teachers give two tests while he gives 5. HE SUCKS

Boring but easy class. Five tests lowest is dropped. Made the class buy a 60 dollar clicker and decides he is only using it for extra credit which you won't even need if you study for an hour before each exam. Also, don't let that chile fool you, he's about 60.

Very straight forward professor, tests are fair, class can be entertaining, a few classes get cancelled. If you do well on the first 4 tests you don't have to attend class after thanksgiving break, so go to class, bring your clicker, take some notes on top of his already printable notes, and read the textbook before the tests and you will get an A.

Siefert is the ****ing man. His class is great, he uses a good textbook, everything is very clear, notes are mostly available online and tests are crazy easy-- he drops one of five. Siefert is a professor from Daemen College, but he only mentioned that once or twice. The man made me want to major in sociology.
