Comment:
The worst. Not surprised he hasnt moved up from summer sessions... he has no teaching capacity and expects far too much out of the students. Tests look nothing like what is done in class, and he solely helps only those who already know the material prior to enrolling in the course. Happy Im not in Brooklyn college if this is their standard.

Unavailable outside of class, and does not care if you fail. He does not teach but rather does questions and answers them himself throughout the class. You must read the textbook to learn something. He expects that you learned everything in Precalculus and class only serves as a review. He moves at a quick pace and answers no questions meaningfully

Two days into this class now, The prof thinks calculus is a game and gives WAY to much credit to my pre-calc prof. He doesn't teach anything but rather puts problems on the board where I just sit for 15min doing nothing. He then does the problem and explains that everything he does was already taught to you in pre-calc. went from 10 to 7 kids fast.

NEED TO READ THE TEXTBOOK!!!! IT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU NEED TO DO FOR THIS CLASS. He is a good professor and teaches everything clearly in the class. BTW there are only three tests in the whole semester and your final grade is based on that three tests.

Sat in his class one day once the semester started and I knew right off the back he wasn't going to make it easy to pass nor did he care if you understood the material or not. Very bad first impression.

He is a good prof, he teaches very clearly in the class. For the whole semester there are 3 tests. Each counts as 33% of you FINAL grade. Try you best to solve all the problems and show your work to him in the class and you will get extra credit for your test.

Summer course. Textbook preacher, 3exams equals final grade, youll be doing equations all of class with a little teaching. Reading the textbook is a must to learn. Doesnt allow you to use calculator, speak to others, or use phone Dont sit on the left side of class room hell block the board at times and theres assigned seating.

If you're serious about learning calculus then Prof. Schloming is the best professor you can have. But if you're just trying to breeze through for an easy grade, look elsewhere.

This professor keeps saying to ask him questions but when you do he would send you away saying he is on a break or you did something wrong and he wont tell you what it is.

Comment:
He seemed genuinely caring and patient at first, wrote out every little bit on the board. However after the first test, it became apparent that this is not going to be fun. He quotes the book like it's the bible, shows your grades in class and berates those who did poorly. He picks favorites. 3 tests, 5 questions each. Very little partial credit.

If you don't want to ruin your GPA, do not ever get him. He is the worst. More than half of the students dropped that class. The worst professor that i have seen in 3 years of college. DO NOT TAKE HIM IF YOU ARE SMART.

Absolutely avoid him as a professor if you can. Yes, he explains all the problems on the board step by step but somehow on the exam he gives 85% of material that was not covered in lectures. I'm a very hard working person and this class made me feel stupid and not belonging in college at all. He is very polite and nice as a person.

one of the worst professirs ive ever had. really doesn't care about doing everything he can to helo you pass. if our grades were based on homework and quizzes in conjunction with tests it wouldnt be so bad. he says everyones grade out loud when he gives tests back. just embarassing. hes an arrogant bigot and should stop teaching.

Prof Shloming does an average job teaching calc. He expects students to read new material by themselves prior to class, does examples the entire class and leaves right as the class ends. He explains his examples clearly and answers questions in class, but nothing outside of class. Wouldn't recommend his class if you're just starting calc.

The worst professor ever met. He thinks that everyone knows his material, arrogant, if you make a question he answers you have done it at high school, droppes your grades for technical reasons, don't care if you fail. I WOULD NO RECOMEND TO MY ENEMY.

He's a nice guy but only if you love math. If you hate math like me and need a lot of time to absorb, he's really not the professor to take. Although his tests come straight from the material he teaches, it's still very very hard. His class makes me hate calc even more. But I guess he is better than other BC Calc professors.

Keeps good office hours. No homework. Saturday morning classes are hard. Don't advise. Tests are difficult. There are only three. The professor gives EC for in class problem solving. He is a great guy; worth getting to know.
