He is one of the best speakers I have ever heard. Makes the subject matter so interesting because he loves it. VERY detail oriented test so read your book, but a great teacher!

Harry is awesome! I took 20th century theater thinking it was a blow off class. It was much harder than expected, lots of names and dates, but Harry made it interesting. You can tell that he loves what he is talking about. An A is achievable if you work for it. I really enjoyed his class! He is awesome!

Great teacher and you can really tell he loves what he does. Going along with class discussions and keep up with reading and you'll be fine. I got behind and it was hard to get back. 4 show reviews. Everything is equal in points on his grade system-even the final.

Excellent professor! It is very helpful when you can tell the professor absolutely loves the material he is teaching. I felt more like I was listening to a fun story than a lecture. Make sure you read the book though, it is very helpful! Doing the reviews will all but guarantee good grades on tests.

Harry Parker is an excellent professor. He is passionate about the theatre and his class. True, his tests are remarkably difficult, but as long as you take good notes and study them, you will do fine. He is not too difficult when it comes to the papers either. Just pay attention ( or at least ACT like you are paying attention ) and he'll like you.

This class was so easy and interesting! He takes attendance and part of ur grade is determined by that. Tests were so easy, but be careful bc he shows some movies to help prove his point and asks u 3-4 questions(out of like 150 which r from the book) about the movie. highly recommended!

I hate musical theatre, but Parker's combination of videos & lecture makes it interesting enough. He's admirably passionate about the subject and is pretty entertaining. He's a very kind and caring professor. It's not too hard,just attend class, take notes, study.

great teacher...could possibly be found boring for the uncultured. i, personally, thought the class was fun and it is unbelievably easy to get a 'B' (and im one of the five dudes in the class). if you get a 'C' you shouldn't be in college.

He is not the best person to take for this class.Goes beyond the required material for an intro class and tests are not easy. He is boring but plays music during class making it abit lively. He isn't very helpful. Take Anne Healey instead she's the best.
