Comment:
He is a nice person but I think that he should scale the test a little more during the summer. Physics is a very tough course & trying to learn all of the material during a summer term is impossible. He should give study guides because he does not test you on all the material he went over in class. Its time consuming & takes away from study time

Attendance isnt mandatory, but Id highly recommend going to every lecture. Webassign homework not very helpful for tests, but the points you get from homework could definitely help you pass! Dr. Arnold is very willing to answer any and all questions and encourages you to come to office hours. Pay attention to problems worked in class. Great prof!

Dr. Arnold is a legend here at AUM. He is an excellent teacher, who has passion for what he teaches. He is always willing to help outside of class. This specific class was easy. I highly recommend taking his Senior Seminar class. There is a presentation and an accumulative test on all the past core classes, but he provides a review for them. Study!

Dr. Arnold was great at explaining the material. He teaches straight off the powerpoint, but he doesn't put the powerpoints online. You must go to class! He is very helpful if you have questions or are confused.

Very funny. Kept class laughing entire semester. Power points are pretty good. Take notes and do problems from back of book. Tests from past semester are available in th IS room. If you study all that you will definately do fine. He is more than willing to help in his office when he is available and will spend plenty of time helping you understand.

He is the WORST teacher I have EVER had. Okay...so on the very first test...the class average was a 40!!! He had to scale it 20 points just to help the class pass. He doesn't care if you pass or fail. He's easy to talk to after class but expects you to do well. He even tells the class most people dont do well on his tests...Because they are SO HARD

He is clear in class and always willing to help. His test seem impossible, but he usually has to curve them by 20 points. YOU MUST STUDY!!!!!!!! If you have him for lab, do thecalculation carefully. If you make one mistake, he will take 2-4 points off each time.

Big evolutionist, spent 20 min of 1st day harping on it. Good teacher though, just example problems in class are so easy you think it's not hard until you try to do the homework, and it's impossible, and the tests are tricky, but expects you to APPLY what you've learned, and I can't say I blame him, good teacher but you have to work very hard

Comment:
This class was VERY difficult. He goes over the material slowly in class, but he makes the test questions EXTREMELY difficult. There is no real way to prepare for them. Asking questions after class gets you a 20 min. explanation of a similar problem, but no help for yours.
