This class consists of a continuous stream of consciousness from the professor, where you need to write down every word. He records all lectures, but refuses to share them with students. Class is graded on two essays which are competitive among peers, and are very vague. Best way to be pass is write down every word he says and regurgitate for exam

He's very polarizing, but he keeps you awake in corporate finance which is a feat. I actually found it to be a fun class, case study based. As for grades, just show up to class and write down every word and you'll be fine. Two essays are your grade, open notes, and he emphasizes what he finds important, so not hard to get an A if you try a little!

The material is just not that hard, but he found a way to make it as hard as possible. Lectures involved you playing a guessing game as to what (sometimes incorrect) answer he was looking for for an obscure part of the material. Tests were random, I got an A on the midterm putting in no work while my extremely dedicated friend got a D.

Hilariously short midterm prompt, no clear grading criteria, seemingly grades based on who spits his words out onto the paper the best. Takes 80 minutes to discuss one small aspect of one small topic. Advice: listen in class and write exactly about what he talks about on your essays.

By far the worst professor I've come across. His lectures were rarely germane to the concepts one would expect in a corporate financial strategy class. so much wasted time. His grading had no rhyme or reason other than you will receive a higher grade the more he likes you personally. This person has absolutely no business teaching.

You either love Bryce or you hate him. His lectures are confusing so be prepared to do some extra research outside of class to clarify. Two essays are the only grades. Cold calls everyone and will pick on you for a while in class. Definitely helps create tough skin by the end. I hated him at first but he grows on you when you get used him

Not the most organized professor on campus. He is a nice person but his lecture is quite confusing. Do not recommend this class.

Your only grade is the 10-page (single spaced) final paper for this freshman seminar. Attendance is NOT mandatory at all but it's very very helpful if you take notes in class. Believe me, your 10-page paper will be much easier if you go to class. But don't sweat: I'm pretty sure Prof Bryce hands out As to everyone. He's very sweet. GPA booster

His classes are an exercise in self-indulgence; he know the answer and you don't and he prefers to keep it that way as long as possible so he can feel smart. Entire classes are spent on a single (irrelevant) question, making class almost entirely useless. I would say not to go but what little there is to get is given in class. Avoid if you can!

Took this class the first semester it was offered. The only grade was a 5,000 word paper due during finals on a nonprofit of your choice. Hard to follow at first because there are no readings and he has a very soft voice but he is sweet and funny and extremely knowledgeable. Tends to go off on tangents but always finds his way back. take good notes

We didn't have a textbook. He taught us completely by lectures, but he kept them very interesting, even if he wandered onto tangents at times. I would definitely recommend his class to anyone.

A bit scatterbrained and difficult to get a short answer out of, but always full of interesting and relevant information. Lecture can meander and become tangential, but he recognizes this and will compensate (either in lecture, grade, or assignment). Very knowledgeable in business. Super-friendly and approachable. Would definitely recommend.

Prof Bryce is entertaining and class is usually enjoyable. Cases can be confusing, and he speaks quietly. Exams are different (1 or 2 essay type case questions). Overall, the course requires little work, though, and I was surprised how much I really took out of the course. Ended up learning quite a bit from Prof Bryce.

Difficult so pay attention, go to class, and take extremely good notes. Discussion is confusing with many tangents that sometimes you get lost or not get it. He speaks quietly, but he will ask if you can hear him so that is good. Study hard and make sure you make time to read over midterms when he makes them available. Good luck!

Best finance professor in William and Mary! He teaches from the basic and fundamentals, and how to apply them in finance. His voice is very soft, so you may want to sit in the front row. You will definitely learn a lot from this class!

Miserable. Forces you to follow his way of thinking; takes an hour to circle around a 10 minute topic. Discussion is heavily stifled. Cuts students off two words into an answer if he *thinks* it won't be correct. Case-based approach, but you end up learning lots about the case and nothing that's still useful afterwards. Grading wildly arbitrary.

He is an extremely smart guy and class keeps you engaged...you really can't zone out b/c he'll probably end up calling on you. Sometimes the lecture can be confusing-but you spend a good amt of time on each case-so you eventually figure it out. As long as you get the general idea of what he wants the students to get out of each case-you'll do fine.

Absolute worst professor I have had in my life. This man has no business teaching and should be nailed to the blackboard. He flat out refused to talk to me about the exam, because there was "nothing he could say that could help me."
