Isabel was one of my most influential professors at SUNY Plattsburgh. She always introduced interesting ways to learn and practice the language. For example, last year I was abroad teaching English in Chile and Isabel and her students skyped me. To me, that's a real learning experience for students. Give her a try.

Arredondo skips around a lot and doesn't stay focused on one subject for too long. This can sometimes be confusing to try to follow along with what she is saying. If you haven't had previous experience with Spanish, then I believe that this class will probably be difficult.

Save yoursef. she's a nice lady but has a hard time understanding english, therefore cannot answer questions. Everything is done online, and tests are way harder than anything she teaches you or goes over or anything on a practice test. Get a different teacher if you can.

Great Professor for beginner students. However, it would be helpful if you had some spanish knowledge beforehand. Overall it was a fun class, but the oral presentations can sometimes be nervewracking.

She is a god awful professor, she is a nice woman outside the classroom but as a Spanish teacher she really sucks. it helps if you know some Spanish before entering her classroom, i did and it helped me out in the long run! If you can avoid taking a class with her do it at all costs!

She means well but if you haven't taken spanish before, u'll probably struggle with her class. She does go very fast through the material and basically expects you to kno a lot of things that she doesn't cover. If you've taken spanish before, this class is a piece of cake.

She means well but, I strongly advise you not to take her if you don't pick up Spanish fast. And for the sake of your grade don't take her if you never took Spanish before. She goes fast and doesn't really teach you the necessary material. Often times she's clueless like: asking the CLASS where the test is, and not knowing where finals take place..

Very clear syllabus, updated regularly. Plays favorites with students but I felt my Spanish improved a GREAT deal at the end of the semester. Make sure to use your dictionary and check the spelling and grammar--a stickler for that stuff. Difficult tests and oral presentations required as well as debates among students..And be on time to class!!

Took a class on Latin American Culture through Film. She picked funny videos and was a bit aloof, but she is very attractive. VERY good looking and a smart woman, take a class if it is not in Spanish instruction.
