The class was easy enough. Anderson really wants to help her students and is super passionate about philosophy but starts every sentence with soooooo and throws in at least two ummmmms. The lectures are painful.

Extremely boring lectures and topics. You can tell that she is passionate about what she teaches, but the concepts and way she presents them were very dry. Takes attendance every class for points in the class.

This class was definitely difficult for me. I had a hard time understanding the lectures a lot of time and the papers were very hard to write. She is definitely very knowledgeable and loves her job and students.

This class is extremely boring. Professor Anderson will talk for the whole time, every single day. She leaves all of the grading up to the TA. The TA's are awful. I always had to review my work and find the mistakes in the TA's grading and have to go through numerous steps in order to get the points back that I deserve. My TA was favored students.

Comment:
She promotes discussion and group work, and the class is engaging. Essays are hard, but tests have extra credit, so grades aren't overly difficult. My only complaint would be her personal arrogance. She said things like "we intellingent people" and often referenced how being a professor makes someone automatically the best reference in their field.

This isn't Janice's favorite subject, so she isn't always as involved, and there is a LOT of group discussion so a lot depends on the class.

Dr. Anderson is very knowledgeable but could be a better teacher. Spends too much time with group assignments.

Not as much a philosopher as an issues person, but she's really very good at that. Classes were interesting.

An extremely nice lady, and a good women's studies teacher. She's just not a philosopher. If you expect philosophy, you'll be disappointed. If you expect history/sociology, she's ok. Lots of writing.
