Dr. Grass is a great professor. Hes very energetic and like to jump around a lot. He is super passionate about what hes teaching. Sometimes he talks way too fast because of how excited he is about the class. He really is caring though and if you fail or miss a test/quiz hell let you make it up.

Comment:

Music 100 for in class was very easy. You need to be at every class for points, but missing one wont hurt you. Go to the review and see the exact questions that will be on the test. Great class to take even if you have no idea about music. Text book needed for quizzes on some chapters

The exams are straight off the study guide, you get 50 terms to define or know and then 50 questions based on each term/idea. Do the study guide and you'll get an A on every exam. The discussions require reading but they are easily done and based on the material. I studied an hour before each exam and got an A

Excellent online class where you will learn a lot about music of the countries of the world. Threaded discussion questions help you interact with other students and are valuable in learning the material. Reviews for tests provide information so you will do well on tests.

Gave PowerPoint lectures, but was the information only he didn't talk in it. Exam and a discussion are due every 4 weeks and are pretty easy if you know the material. The discussions are a pain but you have a whole week to do them. The hardest part is identifying the title of a video/audio example on the exam. Gives 2 points extra credit

Dr. Grass is a great professor. He takes attendance and has you do some goofy activities in class, but just show up and pass. He also held review sessions at night where he basically went over everything on the exam. Really great guy that cares about music and his students.

Honestly, before taking this class, I was so nervous after reading other's posts I almost didn't. Dr. Grass provides you with materials above and beyond being able to achieve an A. Some of his tests are tricky, yes. But he gives you a very helpful and specific study guide before the test so it is well reviewed. I am SO glad I stuck with this class!

Dr. Grass is a great guy- very eccentric & will put a smile on your face. Intro to World Music is easy if you thoroughly pay attention to his slides and take notes. He gives random in class writing assignments, take home quizzes, and a total of 5 exams to help balance out any poor grades on previous exams. It can get a little dull but he's sweet.

His online music class is fairly easy. Just stay organized and get your work done at the begining of the week. He grades very easily, I got 100% on all of my assignments and discussions, and I hate music with a passion. I had no intrest in this class and learned nothing from it. Just use one or two music vocab words in your paper and you'll be fine

Comment:

Took this class online after I had read it wasn't too hard. Boy was that wrong. He grades discussion posts harshly and weights things strangely. The final was ridiculous, I had never even seen half the stuff on it, and I read and take notes. I'm normally an A+ student and I hated this class. He is pushy of his beliefs and grades too harshly.
