What an awesome class! I loved learning from him! There's a lot to learn in this class but he teaches it so well that it won't even feel like you're learning that much. He gives great feedback on assignments. There are pop quizzes but if you do badly on them they can be balanced out by the number of other papers you do. TAKE THIS CLASS FROM WAMSLEY

I took Beg. News Writing from him this semester and it was my favorite class. Jay is a FANTASTIC teacher- he expects a lot but you will learn so much. He keeps the class interesting and is very understanding, friendly, and approachable. I would recommend him to anyone.

AWESOME hard class, but he makes it interesting. He expects first rate work, but teaches so well you will learn no matter how hard you resist. He is an AWESOME professor. The best JCOM professor. If only he would teach the horrible Pease/Cooper duo how to be a University professor.

Jay taught me more about journalism than any other professor. I still recall moments in his class that apply directly to how I do my job today. He is kind and understanding but expects hard work.

I learned more in his class than in any other class that I've ever taken. The assignments were mostly in-class, so very little homework. I think he is definitely the best professor at USU! Don't take this course from anyone else. Also, he likes snickerdoodles.

Wamsley IS the man, I agree. He is amazing and very helpful to you not only as a student, but he's the advisor of the student newspaper and does a great job there. Wamsley for dean of HASS!
