She is an arrogant, egotistical person and a horrible teacher. I wouldn't recommend her even if I was given all the gold in the world to do so.

Comment:

Clear direction on how she would like assignments done. Gives feed back on how to improve. Unfortunately only a few assignments to base grades off of. Was fair on grading. Quick to respond to emails. If you don't know how to use APA you'll have to learn. Course material was interesting and definitely worth the read. Books are a must though. 8/10

Comment:

She has a well organized syllabus and online presentation, manageable workload, assignments must be correctly cited in apa format (she also had all her sources cited in syllabus for student) content related well to the expectations of the class, and a nice variety of assignments. Would highly recommend her class.

Comment:

This teacher is anal about how you do everything in her class. She even has a format for how you are supposed to email her. Another example of this is that she has you read one article for an assignment, that she chooses, but you still need to cite that article in your assignment. I even lost points because she doesn't like my writing style.

Labor intensive class, but the way she has it organized you end up learning a lot and it's very interesting so it's not so bad. She has clear expectations and is the most organized professor I've had, which is very helpful online. You need to do the modules to pass the exam. Must learn APA citing. She posted final grades 3 wks late.

Comment:

Jeannie Lacourt is a knowledgeable teacher and is helpful in class. Native American Studies was enjoyable and easy because of her. There are 2 exams, and some quizzes, but they're all online. I would recommend this course, and I would totally take it again if I could. Textbooks are necessary for tests.

I did not have a problem with Lacourt at all, but this class was SO boring. Some days you don't go to class and have an online assignment instead with a quiz on it. The quizzes are pretty easy. There are only two tests, the midterm and the final, which are both online as well. If you pay attention and take good notes, you'll be fine.

I really liked her. She was soft in her approach but strong in her opinions. Definitely recommend her because she is willing to discuss things, despite her own beliefs.

This class was interesting and very easy! She is an easy grader and a very nice person. Although she is many times unwilling to accept other opinions than her own she is not as bad as people on here are saying.

Many people on here say she bashed white people; this of course is far from the truth. Many say she is not politically correct; it was not "politcally correct" for Spanish, British and Portuguese colonizers to try to eradicate Native Americans in North and South America. But it happened, and so she is speaking the truth, not sugar coating anything.

Mid-term was really hard, most of the other assignments were easy A's. She was a nice person as long as you didnt screw around in class. Tried to work with students to give extra credit if it was needed. Big plus.

Didnt like her at all. I got an A because she was the worst professor in the world, I managed an A yet I learned nothing. She is very unorganized and rarely goes with the schedule. if you want an A, take her, if you want to learn something take someone else.

Comment:

She was a very good professor, and she knew what she was talking about. She doesn't bash whites, as other people said. Only problem is that when we were behind, she didn't make changes, but instead tried to stick to the syllabus.
