Such a sweet dude! Knowledgeable about what hes talking about, and he can get off track in lectures but the stuff he talks about when he gets off track is more interesting than what youre actually learning about. Really cares about students and about academics!!! Take him!

I had him for an honors class freshman year, the best! He's so nice and understanding. If I had a chance, I would take him in a heartbeat. He really cares about the student, and wants them to do well in his class!

Dr. Petterson is a passionate professor & makes learning the history and politics of various countries relevant to today and exciting. This was an eye-opening course and many great discussions have been had. Petterson is always willing to answer questions in class. We're graded by 2 exams and a final. You don't have to buy the book, but it helps.

I would honestly take this class for pleasure. His lectures are intruiging and concise. The exams are essays, but are directly from what was discussed in class. He told us on the study guide exactly what we needed to know. Lastly, he is a very friendly, mild mannered man and is easy to talk to, even for topics not related to class.

Dr. Petterson is an excellent professor who really takes the time to explain everything he expects from you. Going into every project, I knew exactly what to do, and had no problem getting an A in his class. Best of all, we had no tests or quizzes all semester. Dr. Petterson is the easiest, and kindest professor I've ever had. Take him!

Without a doubt would recommend to anyone. He's extremely nice and very understanding. He works with you and is understanding of outside circumstances. Classes are interesting and he definitely knows what he's talking about when it comes to politics. Never hesitate to take a course with him.

Best professor Ive had, I take him every semester for one of my Hon classes. He lectures a lot and is kinda mono tone but if you get the gist of his teachings and participate you will pass the class with an A. Ive never had a midterm or final exam in his class, just essays. I recommend this professor 100% he's one of my favorites

Dr. Petterson is a really great guy. He is incredibly smart, something I like in a professor. He is an extremely fair grader and he and the other professor work well together. He cares about his students and wants them to learn but also get good grades. Take him if you can! I've taken 3 classes with him!

Such a nice guy. I like that he is passionate about what he teaches, it makes his lectures more bearable. He is a very fair grader and he cares more about your argument and evidence in papers rather than grammar, sentence structure, etc. I would definitely take him again, he's one of my favorite professors this semester!
